What do you mean by upgrade.

Buy new stuff for it, by the sound of it a new video card, CPU and RAM is in order.
Do you know your specs?
Start Menu - Run - DxDiag

VERY LOW! 8 - 20

Wow... ok you need to upgrade if you wanna record dude, it won't be able to handle any recording, no matter what the program
1
What FPS do you get?
1
But I haz windows 7....D=
1
I used Bandicam and Fraps to record Minecraft and they lag for me. I get bad FPS that's why I want someone to try and record for me or something.

I just said, those programs are meant for screen capture not for gaming, use Fraps you get a much better FPS which results in a much smoother video and a lot better quality, unless you understand FPS you won't see the difference

Recorded with Fraps at 90 FPS then sped up x12, it's still smooth, do this with Camstudio and it will be "jumpy". Also, you're probably hitting high FPS whilst playing Minecraft yes? Let's say you hit an average of 110 FPS, you're losing 95 FPS because Camstudio won't record the 110 FPS, only 15, it's a loss. Like I have said, Fraps is the better choice.

I'm starting a You-tube series but my computer is quite laggy when I record.
1
im very sorry but theres a way to make it less laggy its called getting camstudio or something else
1
No no no, Camstudio and Camtasia are for recording the screen they are not meant for games, you won't get the best possible quality
Use Fraps bro
Use Fraps bro

I've used bandicam and fraps and they both lag for me.
1
Then you need to upgrade your PC or when your record have everything on minimum, it's not Fraps causing it, Minecraft isn't a big enough game for Fraps to cause lag, Call Of Duty it does
1
oh really ? huh ive been using camstudio
1
Yea, Camstudio records at 15fps, that's default unless you've messed with settings, 30 is it's max without causing lag in the final playback.
1
wow i never thought of that
