About the game
Celeste is a difficult 2018 platforming game by Maddy Makes Games with 7 main chapters (Deltarune reference :o) in the story before the credits play, with 2 chapters in the postgame (9 chapters total), one of which being added later as a free update.
The game follows Madeline as she tries to climb Celeste Mountain to deal with her anxiety and stuff idk
The main mechanic of the game is dashing. When you are grounded or airborne, you can dash to launch yourself in the direction you were holding. To regain your dash, touch the ground or an object like a spring, dash crystal, bubble, etc. Each chapter has 3 "Sides," (excluding Chapter 9) A, B, and C-Sides. You only need to beat the first seven chapter's A-Sides to see the credits and beat the game. A B-Side is unlocked after collecting a secret in that chapters A-Side, and ALL C-Sides are unlocked once you clear Chapter 8's B-Side. B-Sides are much harder versions of the A-Sides, and C-Sides are even harder versions with only three rooms. Red strawberries are the main collectibles. You will find Strawberries throughout every chapter besides 6, 9, and every B and C-Side, and they do absolutely nothing. There are also blue "Crystal Hearts" in each of the first 8 chapters and usually they require solving a puzzle or finding a secret to collect. Red Crystal Hearts and Yellow Crystal Hearts are at the end of the B and C-Sides in that order. Once you unlock C-Sides, Golden Strawberries are unlocked at the start of every chapter, and to collect them, you have to beat the entire chapter without dying a single time.
