Successfully Soldered a new charging port to my OG 3DS! I was really worried it wouldn't work since this is my first time successfully soldering anything, But I'm VERY happy to have my childhood 3DS running again! :D
LARPLion it looks good to me! as long as its working, that should be fine

MistFaller I also has to do a lot of sanding on the shell (as you can see) because the charging port was slightly crooked

So my N3DS broke... Its been having this problem where sometimes when i move the hinge it shuts off, it got really bad recently and was shutting off almost every time i moved the hinge so i opened it up and tried to fix it but i think i broke a ribbon cable in the process because now it doesn't boot to the home screen... Now looking into getting someone to repair it but its looking pretty expensive, almost worth just buying a new New 3DS at this point :/

That's a common issue, apparently the ribbon cable that runs from the top to the bottom of the console is weak and after opening and closing it a bunch it breaks. Had that happen to one of my 3DSs as well and i sent it for repair and it was able to be fixed

Unmodded 3ds reveal! This is the 3DS i have used the most, its the og red 3DS XL that i shell swapped for this blue Pokemon X and Y shell, Also has a clear protective shell

Modded 3DS reveal! Its a dark blue New 3DS LL that i shell swapped for a Majoras Mask shell and i also added a protective clear shell :D

Guys should I get a New 3DS XL to mod (It's very easy. I've done it before) or a premodded switch oled (i aint soldering and i dont want a day one switch) I actually kinda want a 3ds more

I personally use my 3DS alot more than my Switch but it kind of depends on what you want in a your handheld. The 3DS has lots of fun niffty gimmicks like streetpass, camera, AR, 3d mode and a second screen but the Switch oled has more power, a better screen, and you only need one to play with friend's.
