Hey everyone! It's me, NinetiesKids.
So I've been using Spotify Free since December 2023 (1 year and 4 months) and I will say, I do love using Spotify, but it's not perfect though.
Take note of these if you are going to use Spotify for the first time.

PROS:

1. You can basically listen to ANY song in the world (if it's available that is, songs that are grayed out are unavailable). Oh yeah there's also audiobooks and podcasts too but I don't listen to any of those, just the music really.

2. Making playlists for easier use and easier to find a song. What's even better is that you can give a playlist an image cover too. Windows Media Player didn't have that now, did it?

3. The option to turn off explicit music too (e.g. music with strong language). That's great because I think my parents would kill me if I listened to explicit music, which I don't thankfully.

CONS:

1. Turning autoplay off doesn't seem to work for me. Like whenever I listen to something I have to pause it right when the song's almost over to prevent those loud as heck ads playing through my ears and another song playing after that, and if I miss it, I have to close the window and then open it back up because I ain't listening to whatever they have to say for themselves. Like I'm sure it's possible to get autoplay actually turned off but I just can't seem to figure out the problem though.

2. The mobile version. Like what gives? I want to choose a song from my playlist but nooooo apparently I can only hit shuffle on it and it picks a random song that I maybe don't wanna listen to right now. What else is that because I can't choose a song, I have to wait until an ad plays first and it'll probably play a song that I probably still don't wanna listen to right now. And to make it worse is that my sister uses Spotify Mobile too (pretty sure she uses the PC version too obviously), and she says it gives you limited skips too. Like is this Pandora but there's an ad after every freaking song? Nope, not interested. In fact, I'd rather buy a laptop and use Spotify there, only problem would be that if I used it on road trips I won't be able to use it because of no internet connection. I guess the only best solution would be that you buy the music you want and then rip it on your laptop and listen to it on Windows Media Player or maybe put on your mobile device and there you go. But I'll be honest, that sounds like a lot of work, which is why I don't do so.

So yeah, there you go. That's my review on Spotify. Do I recommend it? Absolutely! Just not the mobile version though, Spotify Mobile sucks.
I would buy Spotify Premium if I wasn't dead broke and had a credit card too.
