Theist: Someone who believes in a God or gods/ higher power
Atheist: Someone who believes there is no God or gods/ higher power
Agnostic: Someone who does not believe nor deny there is no higher power

A lot of people I know who say they are atheist are really agnostic

“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But how do you know who your neighbor is? So I was reflecting on the sermon from Sunday. My church’s theme for September is ‘how to define a neighbor’

The story from Sunday was the Good Samaritan. As my pastor was speaking, I couldn’t help but relate some of the things he was saying to some online experiences from this site.

Here were the main take-aways:

• Accept that people you meet are near you for a reason
• Don’t let their lifestyle or background effect the way you contact them. (Even if you don’t agree with them, they need to be shown just as much love)
• Find practical ways to love, serve, and witness to the neighbors in your life

I just thought this was a really good reminder for myself, and decided to share :)
