Remembering the friends who have moved on
  • About

The PMC Cemetery is where we can document the names and dates of when people have left the site, whether by choice or forcefully removed. It this sort of Wikipedia-like part of PMC that is straight to the point with the info. We will delete any comments that go too far with the details such as "this moderator did this and that." No badmouthing anyone! This place is purely for getting to know some past members and not for discussing events.

We'll also remove any comments discussing any situation on someone's ban, whether they are true or not. This place is purely for getting to know some past members and not for discussing events. If we don't add any names to the list that you might have requested, it's most likely because those users personally requested me to not add them or other rare exceptions.

Comments will be removed if we believe they may cause unnecessary conversations about sensitive topics or if there is little to no info on the account. This also goes for discussions about deleted accounts (such as the "anon1234" accounts). If there are any issues regarding this post, We're willing to talk with you to ensure things are right.

    Joining

I'd like to become a gravedigger! How do I join?
If you would like to voice interest in helping keep the cemetery up to date and accurate with information, you can leave a post in the guest book or private message one of our sextons. Do keep in mind that if you join, you should contribute to the blog by either being an editor or searching for new entries and notifying gravediggers when possible.
Can I help out without becoming a Gravedigger?
There's a lot of different ways you could help. You don't necessarily need to be a gravedigger to do that.

The first thing you can do is look through our "missing" section. This is where we list people who have gone offline without officially leaving. If you have information on any of these "missing" users, we'd like to know, so that we can update the cemetery accordingly.

Anyone is able to make requests to the guest book of people to include in the cemetery, or make us aware of any inaccuracies about existing graves.

If you want, you can also join the group as someone who does research for the other gravediggers, keeping a lookout for people to add, or keeping track of outside comments. Everyone is different, so we all are able to help in our own special way.

    Editing the cemetery

Who can be added to the Cemetery?
Here are different types of users that can be added:

-people who have announced that they will be leaving PMC with no intent on returning (Left the site.)

-people who are taking a break from PMC without having a set day of return (Indefinite break)

-people who have been banned from the site for known or unknown reasons (Banned)

-people who have been prevented from using the site on their end (Required to leave)

Now, here are some users that will not be added to the cemetery:

-people who have requested not to be added to the cemetery (We usually know if this is the case.)

-people who are on a temporary break and plan on returning

-people who have very little activity on PMC to begin with, Some people just make an account just to check out the site for a few days before moving on.

There is also the case of some users who randomly stop using their account with no announcement. These users can be added under "Missing". They will stay here until any new information about their absence is found.
How do I edit the cemetery?
Provided you have at least the Gravedigger role, you can go on the cemetery and edit it like any other blog. When you're done, be sure to note your changes in the update log.
    Should I do [X]?
If you have a question regarding editing the cemetery, feel free to ask the sexton Kraggle09.

    Roles

    What is a sexton?
According to its definition on Wikipedia, "A sexton is an officer of a church, congregation, or synagogue charged with the maintenance of its buildings and/or an associated graveyard."

So, in this instance, they're the owners and operators of The PMC Cemetery. In PMC, the responsibility of owning the cemetery has been passed down since its creation.

The current sexton and owner of the graveyard is Kraggle09.
    What is a gravedigger?
They are members of PMC who have been recruited to help keep the cemetery up-to-date and active. It's their job to take requests for who to add to the cemetery and see the inclusion through. The sexton also acts as a gravedigger whenever present.
    Are there other roles?
Yes. The two other roles are:
    • Cemetery Stylist: Like a Gravedigger if they had more permissions.
    • Researcher: Mainly if you want to help out by finding new gravediggers.
