Another one, because you know, why not? I've maybe made this more complicated then it needs to be, but I feel like part of the fun for me making a jam like this, is seeing people put their own spin on things. So more freedom! So now there are more ways to approach this Jam.
1) Download the base skin (links bellow) and just shade! There are some things you are going to have to decide, like the character's eye colour, eye type, bangs and general hair design (you could add long hair if you wanted) but otherwise you can just make that skin!
2) Use the hex codes here, to take the colours and make your own skin using those colours. Be warned that in this method I highly recommend using mostly the colours provided because if I can't find at least four of them I will disqualify you and recognisability does contribute to your score.
#FFC24B #0E606B #1697A6 #FFF4F1 #FFB3AE #F47068 #F0DABD #B38686
Refer to the rules for more clarification if you want it.
3) The middle road, take the base skin, and change it up! Similar considerations should be taken as in method two, but if you just want to alter what's there (it might be less work) then go ahead! Shorts or a skirt instead of pants, a yellow top and pink shoes, a jacket instead of a sweater, or scratch that! Turn it into a tee-shirt.
(The featured skin is an example of this method in action!)
Obviously the same things as in method one, it's up to you what hair the character has, and what eyes they have etc. etc.
Some rules, because rules are important, and stuff.
- No skimpy, mostly naked skins, inappropriate stuff is already covered by the site rules, but you know, to reinforce. A character just standing in their underwear is not allowed, even if that underwear is *technically* a swimsuit.
- No less then four of the base colours, I already mentioned this, but to clarify I'm not looking for shading colours (Eg. Having C67B1F, D89C36, EBBE4D, and FDDF64 would count as shading colours of #FFC24B, rather then new colours) I just want to be able to tell that my colour was at least the origin of your shading colours/that they are designed to convey the base colour.
- No more than two new base colours, and try not to use them too heavily, if you make a goblin skin that's mostly green I'd probably disqualify you. Your new base colours should be no more then fifteen percent of the visible pixels. (Exception made for hair, within reason)
- Be kind, and have fun 💜
This is what the base skin looks like, for those of you wondering what you should choose.
And here is where you can now get
the skin on planet minecraft! I dids it.
