    Enjoy this random idea I’ve had for something called rail-charges: A device that uses the same mechanic as Railguns to fires singular large explosive projectile into whatever surface it is placed on, which will explode after either a determined distance or time, or once the projectile stops moving. This could be used to fire explosives through thick walls, or to break open incredibly durable barriers, by exploding the projectile within them (if it’s thick enough that the rail-charge cannot penetrate the barrier) which would significantly weaken the structure.

    Since my body would be entirely made of metal, I would be able to engineer attachment points, which would for example let me swap out the nuke-gun for a grappling hook. My plan was for the ordinary railguns to pull ammunition from the air, making them more like Star Wars blasters but with far greater projectile velocity; they would also be built into my arm, with an exit point above my wrist. That way I would always have an excellent weapon, while also being able to attach other equipment as needed. If I really needed a lot of ammo, I could design cargo drones to keep quantities on hand while keeping me mobile. The recoil would be a problem, but my skeleton would be significantly stronger than a human's, and I could at least keep the momentum contained by spinning around after firing a long shot, for example.

    That would probably work quite well, which means the only remaining issues (besides that of designing the device itself to be compact and portable), is a way to safely and securely attach the device to whatever surface it needs to be attached to, usually metals I presume, but it needs to be able to stay attached whilst firing the projectile and also remain functional, unless the rail-charges are to be single-use only, which would save a lot of effort and some materials, but more would have to be carried around and it could potentially waste a significant amount of materials

    Excellent idea. However, the force would likely be too great for safety if something like nitroglycerin was used, since it could detonate prematurely. A better solution could be to use a small amount of uranium and a detonator inside a resilient projectile, resulting in a remote mini-nuke.

Clicking it will invoke an editor, where you can add content to the widget. Clicking Save will add the widget with the editor contents, and you will then be able to position the widget as you please.
