Big servers are big because they're willing to put money into attracting players to the server. Honestly, sometimes I go on a server and I wonder how the server has managed to get so big with so little to offer...
If you want to get a constant player base the best you can do is make your server as unique as possible.. Don't make a faction wars..
Being a YouTuber could help , but you'll have to get your YouTube channel to have views and subscribers then advertise the server there.
