alright, here's what you do. You have a proxy, obviously. That's the IP you need to post here. Remember, the proxy handles all player traffic, so it will show the total number of players across all servers.

When PMC gives you the MOTD code to verify your server, put it in the MOTD section in your Bungee config.yml.

    Best of luck!

    Hello!
Unfortunately, that's something that occurs on your host's side.

There's a million things that can cause this. I'll try not to get too technical, but it happens when the java virtual machine (aka, the thing that's essentially running your spigot/bukkit server) gets disconnected.

There's a lot of things that can cause this, but it's most commonly caused when the panel you're on throttles connections or runs out of memory. In other words, the panel has too many servers running on it, it get's overwhelmed and stops responding to some of them.

If you have a host like GGservers or MCProHosting, you're a lot more likely to run into this, as they put WAAAAY too many servers on each panel. Remember, each panel is a computer with a limited amount of ram and power (make no mistake, they have a lot of RAM and a ton of power, but it still has its limits). When (for example) you try to run 150 servers on a panel that only has 64gb of RAM, you might see something like this happen.

Again, there's really not a whole lot you can do to fix it, as it's your host.

This is kinda funny, but useful.
I got my username by spelling my last name backwards and switching around a couple of letters so it was easier to spell and pronounce.

Try doing the same! Or pick any word you want and do it.
Of course, this is just one way of picking a name...there's many others. But i thought I'd just share it since very few people think to try it!

Also, one word of advice with usernames: avoid numbers if possible. Your name will look a whole lot better if it's just a word(s) instead of words with numbers. For example, "Ackirb" is a lot better than "ackirb8492"

I'm a college student majoring in Computer Science, so I have a good deal of experience with this stuff.
Like the others said, making mods requires programming. And programming requires time. A LOT of time.
Learning a programming language (aka, Java) is very difficult for first-timers. And even when you've learned it, making a program (aka a mod. Mods are basically programs) that works is very difficult. It's not as simple as "Oh, I'll code it and it'll work". It's more like "Okay...I've coded everything, but it's not working. Time to redo 1/3 of my work to fix it", and repeat that many times.

I'm not trying to discourage you, but I'm just letting you know that modifying game code is no easy task. It's not something that you can just learn in five minutes (or even five hours, for that matter).

What ever you choose to do, I hope it goes well!

You absolutely can run other OS's on whatever type of computer you have. I agree with the other responses in that you need to look up how to do it (I could explain, but I don't have enough info about your machine. Plus, there are far better tutorials online).

    BUT
I think you need to look at why you're doing this in the first place. If you're switching OS's so you can run a server from your computer, then stop and take a few minutes to figure out if your computer can handle it. If you're running on a Laptop (even a good one), then abort the mission right there. Laptops are very poor for running servers. Once you get more than a few people online, you're going to run into some MAJOR problems with lag and performance.

Check out the specs of your computer and see if they're strong enough to run a server. If you don't know computer parts very well, then first figure out what parts you have (look for what type of CPU and GPU you have), then look them up online to see how good they are.

If your computer won't handle a server well, then I'd recommend using GGservers to host it for you. They don't have the best customer service, but they're by far the cheapest I could find ($3 per gig of RAM), and I personally haven't run into any issues with them. http://ggservers.net

    Hope that all goes well!

    Hello!
Here is a plugin called TitleManager that allows you to easily display player names.

Okay, so here's the thing. I've been in web development for awhile now, so I have a bit of experience. I also have a good deal of experience with advertising in general.

Here's what you need to do: advertise your server first, THEN the website. Or, advertise both at the same time, with more emphasis on the server.

See, people come here looking for a minecraft server to play on. What's more is that they want it to be quick and easy to find. If one server seems too complicated or different from what they want, they aren't going to join.
So, by making people go to your website before they can read about your server, you're making it more complicated for someone to view your server, and thus are turning away a lot of players.
I know that simply viewing a website doesn't seem very complicated, but trust me - people are incredibly impatient when it comes to this type of thing.

Your focus needs to be on getting players into your server, THEN once they're there, try to encourage them to visit the site.

I hope everything works out for you!

Try to hit Fn + F3 for it to work. Many computers, especially laptops, have the "F" keys assigned to some other function. Only when you press Fn at the same time will the F3 key do what you want it to.
No need to change the key bindings - that's just going to add another layer of complication to this.

Hope it all works out for you
