Yeah, because that's not TOTALLY sketchy. I'd advise no one to send anyone a minecraft file to mod. I don't know what this guy's angle is, but he is new, has one post, and is asking you to trust him with your minecraft.
Mods are not hard to install at all, you just need patience and a willingness to learn.
