Here are some simple steps to fix the problem with the java.net.socketexceptions:connection reset
1.Make sure your firewall isnt blocking you minecraft multiplayer.
2.Or you make sure your minecraft isnt updated to minecraft 1.3.1 coz its the new minecraft version
3.If that steps didnt work downgrade your minecraft to 1.2.5 How?! here is a tutorial
