IIRC, the main reason they didn't completely remove java when they made bedrock is because of its modding capabilities.

Another thing is that some people find the vanilla game to be a little boring and repetitive, mods completely remove this because of how many possibilities their are for mods to use and make

make it so respawn anchors dont get destroyed when used outside of the nether so you can delete the ender dragon in seconds

actually the way i did it was simple:
1 ) run your game and set it to be visible in game activity
2 ) once it says your playing the app of choice, open time and date settings
3 ) set the date to any date (i did mine 99 years in the future)
4 ) set the date back to the actual date, and check how long it says you have been playing the game for!
