Two combustion engines will still take a lot of iron, and with only two, you wont be getting much speed on that quarry, compared to the ton of cobble a generator can gather. In one week of building a cobble generator you could easily get insane amount of cobble per half second. It took me about a hour to build a 40 cobble/sec, and that was when i was still new to tekkit. With a full team of professionals, I cant even imagine how big that machine could get in a week.

Then obviously you havent been on a server where you try to get more minerals than another team. And do you even use tekkit? Because you can do this different ways (energy collectors, cobblestone generators, quarries, mining wells, miners, etc)
Note: I said theres only two VIABLE ways. Collector/Relay set-up and the Cobble Generator set-up. Quarries are way too expensive (What, 11 diamonds?) And would require too much power from combustion engines if you actually wanted to get anywhere. Dunno about mining wells and miners, but I doubt they could come close to the cobble generator or collector/relay systems. Whats the point in wasting so much time to get materials to build a machine that on a server that will be removed after building the said machine. I dunno, if you enjoy doing this, its all good. Just throwing out my opinion.
