I noticed after just adding my servers banner to my signature and linking it back to my pmc server page helped alot in gaining new players. There's lots of other ways to advertise your server but that's one i know works for sure.

Your setup is powerful enough to hold about 150-180 players at once but the limiting factor is always gonna be your connection speed. At 12mbps upload you'd be able to hold about 30-40 players at any given time and start to see a little rubber banding here and there. On the other hand if you had for example.. 60mbps upload and download you'd easily be able to handle 150 players at once. At that time you'd be worrying about server load and not connection speeds.

It looks like it's working now. Sometimes when you use a service like noip there's this thing called DNS propagation. When you update the setting for a domain, it may take up to 24-72 hours for the change to take effect. This period is called DNS propagation. In other words, it is a period of time ISP (Internet service provider) nodes across the world take to update their caches with the new DNS information of your domain. So what most like happened was the connection between your server and PMC was caching until the propagation was complete.

BooshroomHello everyone, my name is Blake and I am 14 years old. I am a great Developer and have lots of knowledge of plugins, permissions and many others. I have owned my own server once as a Owner and a Developer and I was averaging many people a day, I can donate to your server to help it improve. I am currently learning HTML coding for a website although I know how to set up a basic website with HTML coding once I am experienced enough I am going to move on from HTML and gain knowledge on Java (wish me luck xD) So if you want to hire me for your server please contact me on skype @ Blake 2002. Hello Ghiojo,

Thanks for your comment! The server is still new (like 2 weeks old) and I'm still trying to set everything up. I'm doing everything right now and haven't really tried contacting others to help with the server yet. I do have a full time IRL and don't have a lot of time to do a lot of stuff with the server. If you want to help out and make the server better PM me with your suggestions and how you can help.

The server currently has a hub, creative, and survival server just a few plugins.
