If you did't put something in it'll be the default title... Tell me what says "*Title"? FileZilla? Minecraft? Or does ya computer talk to yo? In this case i would directly ask him instead of giving us that many details bout what & where.

Until you have more then one ethernet adapter its completly senseless to set the ip in the properties. If you just leave this property empty it'll take the default adapter...

Disable the firewall on the server's computer for testing purposes & be sure that you connect to the right ip (check /ipconfig on the server's hostsystem)

WTH put Norton out of that list, its a Virus! (At least scamware haha)
MSE should everyone install, it can coexist due the fact that it does not mutch but gives MS the possibility to stob botnets. In addition to that i am a Avast Free Antivirus User, but for corporate & business i really like Kaspersky. (It has nice tools for the rollout to multiple clients )

Maybe have a look at Dynamic DNS Solutions (No-IP eg.) if you have problems with changing ips.

Use EssentialsSpawn and have a closer look at the Essentials config, there is a ton of settings you can do bout decidin where to spawn after a death (Spawnroom, Bed, Home, Where you Died)

Its very old but still working.. I would recommend Logblock .. Even thou HawkEye was ment as its replacement, Logblock works great on my server & there are a few awesome features like a rollback questioner and rollback on bans.
For optimal performance i would reccomend either file (sqllite) logging on a ramdisk, or mysql with InnoDB.

I tried it on latest beta build 1.4.6 3 with both pex and bperms and it worked well.
