Here's something to try:

Open your launch and click "Launch Options".
In the next window, look for the toggle next to Resolution. Flip that, and set your desired dimensions.

so, you're trying to make cartoony textures for the items added to newer versions of minecraft? do you maybe have a list of the blocks/items that lack textures?

if it's a really populated area, I'd appreciate a sign or something indicating which direction I can go to find trees etc I'm allowed to break. I remember at least one server, I kept dying and going back to spawn because there was no safe place from nighttime mobs while trying to get enough resources to build even a basic hut; everything in the area was already built/owned so you couldn't even break grass!



I know somebody else mentioned disliking starter kits, but if you can't break any of the trees within sight of spawn, then a starter kit becomes a Must

btw, you can access the rules list in the top right, just below your xp bar.

I remember it's against the rules to use url shorteners (other than http://pmc.la/, which only allows link to PMC content anyway) in the Chat rooms, but it's not listed as a rule for the rest of the site

hey there, I'm toying with the idea of hosting a make-a-mod 'workshop' (13 of 16 respondents said they want to make a mod but would need help). before I do, I should try participating in a few other events, to get a feel for the experience.

but also, I'd very much want to use something like the screenshare feature of Discord. is there a PMC server I could direct workshop participants to?

also, is there a recommended way to poll the availability of would-be participants? (since this would be a live event, not submit-entries-whenever) or should I simply propose a time window and see who registers?

uhh, yeah, I'm with you on that. never seen/heard about a difference in dufus/doofus. Both get the red squiggly line of misspelling



However, I'm firmly of the opinion that "newb" is friendly while "n00b" is not. My brother would argue, but I've seen an increase in the use of "newbie" to refer to a novice.


Recently I heard an audiobook narrator pronouncing "demur" like "demure", which tells me it's a pair most folks don't know

I guess "No, it would be too much hassle" is the closest, option, but yeah, I was wondering if the limit of 10 poll options would be a problem.

I've put together a short list of ideas, as I'm interested in leading a little modding workshop for beginners. Browsing the forums today I saw stuff like "owls" and "doors made of bone" that I could see newbies able to implement. My thinking is to give folks a taste of making a very simple working mod, hopefully motivating them to study Java in greater depth once an intriguing idea comes along
