- Previous work: Given I am a developer I don't have many pictures of my work. I started my minecraft developing work, when administrating servers and understand the way a community should be set up and creating opportunities for servers to be unique. Having administrated servers with 100+ I started to understand what types of servers were interesting to people, and I wanted to create more unique games. I created new games that were more unique than the mainstream games. I started developing on my own, I started doing freelance developing with servers and friends. I started working with APIs for plugins, making my own and creating more interesting plugins. I do have a Github, which has old plugins or inefficient plugins/APIs, but the link is http://github.com/baugh70. Most of my projects have been private by request of the customers.

- Experiences: I have taken multiple developing courses, two in Java, two in Ruby, one in C++, and some in HTML, however my strongest is Java, mostly because it is my first language. I have created a business, working on our mission statement, hiring and setup now. The company is called BinaryLife Design & Dev. and we center ourselves around web development, plugin development and design/branding of companies and youtubers.

- Pros and Cons:
* Pros:
- I really enjoy learning new things with the Bukkit API because I like seeing
the output of the plugins.
- I work well with teams. Many of the classes I took focused around paired
programming which is a new idea, that enforces working in groups to
develop.
- I have been working with Java for 3 years and minecraft for 5 years which
makes my knowledge of the game extensive
* Cons:
- I am not that skilled in MySQL, but I am learning MySQL integration as we
speak and expanding my knowledge of NMS code.
- I do like league so I take breaks which takes away an hour or two away from
my work, however, I work a lot throughout the week so it isn't too much of a
conflict. I do really enjoy the game.
- I sometimes look over bugs, so debugging takes awhile when I do it,

- My Bio: My name is Zach, I work in the city (New York), for the IT Department of the Brennan Center for Justice. I started playing Minecraft when my friend came over and introduced me to the multiplayer aspect of the game. After working for playing on a server for a few months, I became moderator of the server. The server had around 100+ servers at any given time. I worked on the server for a few months. After altercations with higher staff (personal issues), I started working on my freelance developing as well as my own server. Which I kept for around a few months, but after working with some friends, I became solely a freelance developer. I also dropped my server. Since then I have been playing league, working with some servers to create plugins of my own, and expanding my knowledge of Java.

Part-time builder/developer or full-time builder/developer: I have, I have administrated multiple servers with rather large average players (around 100) as well as owning my own servers on a dedicated server for a short amount of time. (I know the linux setup and configuration). I have also developed for multiple servers, doing freelance work, as well as dedicated developing for a few networks and friends. I am currently working with the Brennan Center for Justice in NY for a summer internship program in the IT department so I do know computer anatomy as well.

Why do you want this position: I enjoy making plugins since I have a lot of spare time on my hands. I think it is really cool to develop something that other people have not thought of, or even just manipulating the game to make it more interesting for the players, and I believe that I have a lot to offer the community.

Why should I choose you: As stated before I have large amounts of experience with the game as well as the Bukkit/Spigot code. I have large amounts of time on my hand so I will not be very distracted in the creation of the projects.

Information on Staff Positions
S-Staff= Survival Staff
C-Staff= Creative Staff

All Staff must be above 15 years of age. Maturity is required as a staff and show in equality. All staff cant have any staff positions in any other servers to show that they are committed to our community and not any other. If a staff abuses their power they would get 1 Warning and then a result in a demotion if he/she continues.



FAQ's



What do i have to do as staff?

As staff you show the members that you are trustworthy and able to handle things in tough situations. You do not disobey orders or impersonate the Owner's Orders in order to get the member to listen to you. You keep track on who is playing fairly and who is not. Those using hacked clients should be reported immediately towards the owners/admins.


What commands do i get?

The commands you get are according to the world/job you are assigned too. You will not have any commands in other worlds. For example is you are a S-Staff you would not have the same commands as the Skyblock-Staff or C-Staff, etc... You may NOT beg or request for other commands or any extra. The commands are placed there for a reason as we set up the ranks and made it easier for us to handle.


How active is the server?

The server so far now has at least 3-7 members on always and will continue to grow. We are just waiting until the server is stable until we decide to advertise more and frequently. This way we can slowly train new staff and get to know one another before a majority of members join the server.


What is the server purpose?

The server is made up of a few Main plugins: Factions,Skyblock, Minigames, Survival Games, and a few more minigames plugins would be added in time to time.
The server is basically for players to have wider options in gameplay in our server to make it more "Unique" and interesting to the MC Community.

Front end management access: Yes. Please get Multicraft. It makes it easy to access files and edit configurations and such. I am able to see the console so it does not require backend access, in case you are unsure of me creating backdoors or anything. That being said, Multicraft is optimal.
