May I recommend permissionsex? Its far more efficient than group manager, and comes with a chat manager plugin that makes titles, colors, and chat enhancements a snap. Literally, you dont have to edit a config file if you dont want to. You can make groups, give them permissions, and give them titles all from commands in game.

Your best bet would be ordering professional server hosting. Anyone here could just as easily start their own server than host someone else's on their own console, only to be "co-owner" Whats in it for us?

I recommend mpserv.net

They offer professional, no lag, user friendly service at a decent price

Usually I'll make a youtube video in my spare time.

btw, im an expert with pex and chatmanager, meaning I can easily help you set up title, prefixes, colors, etc.

For you to connect, you need to use your ipv4 address, since you are in the local reach. Everyone else in the world will use your home ip to connect, but you need to use either your ipv4 address or "localhost"

Z645You need to be over the age of 14, be able to host it, and make sure it's 24/7 with no lag.

Fail you must be under 14 .S you need to pay to host a server unless you want 6 slots and no plugins DO YOUR RESEARCH No lag is IMPOSSIBLE like IMPOSSIBLE 24/7 of a computer is like saying my computer is very good now I will shoot it with my 308.


That is correct, however I do know someone who hosts a server that has little lag from his desktop. He was able to allocate about 4 gb of ram to it, Ill tell him and see if he wants to help you

Please give me the time you are free to join and what time zone. I'll give you the ip. Once your online, I can explain things much easier.

First off, bukkit is the only way to set up a server as far as I know, unless there is some 3rd party underground secret service thing, but I doubt it's as good as bukkit.

Use the recommended bukkit build, because it is now compatible with 1.4.2

For the server ip, use your ipv4 address found when typing ipconfig into the command prompt

Open a new web browser and paste your home ip where you would normally type a web url. If you dont know your ip, google "whats my ip".

This will take you to the router console log in screen. On most Belkin routers, there is no default password. Just proceed to log in leaving the password field blank. If you have set a password, and have forgotten it, you need to reset your router by pressing and holding the reset button (on your physical router) for ten seconds. This will give you an option to reset password.

Once youve gotten that sorted out, go into your router console and locate a link called "virtual servers"
(If there is no virtual servers button, then please specify your router model number so I can figure your specific function)

Here there should be a list of various LAN ip addresses. Click on one of them and add the port 25565 to public port and lan port. Protocal type = both. Check the "enable" box, and click set.

And thats all you need! If you have questions, or experienced a problem, feel free to contact me and I will try to help as best I can.

They offer an outstanding custom control panel which makes upgrades, installations, etc a snap. Prices are fair, more or less. 40 players will run you about $34 a month (But its TOTALLY worth it).
Their customer service is phenomenal, I have never had to wait more than an hour or two for a support ticket response, and the server performance is unmatched. Absolutely ZERO lag ( As long as you keep the max player number at or below the recommended maximum, and dont do any massive worldedits

Seriously, give it a try, once you order, your server is set up in less than 5 minutes, literally. You don't have to wait a day or que in line etc etc. Upgrading is a snap as well, just click a button, pay the difference, and the upgrade is instantaneous!
