He said "or Java". Javascript can be used to make games too, his comment is perfectly ok.

    Game looks like fun op!

Well yeah, every device will be running "Windows 10", but Windows 10 on phones is completely different to Windows 10 on PC, as they use different architectures and phones of course lack the power of a PC. The Xbox version will be the same, it'll be called Windows 10 but won't run .exe files/ PC games. I've tried both Windows Phone 10 and Windows 10 for PC. When they say unified OS it's more in relation to apps etc, which will be cross platform. Arm processors can't run x86/x64 stuff.

So if you're using Pepper's Ghost, you have a screen, and the glass of the headset is reflecting the screen to make it seem like there's a hologram in front of you. Except the screen itself can't draw transparent pixels - Imagine your laptop screen trying to make part of itself invisible so you could see through it in to the portions behind your laptop - It can't happen. So if you don't render any pixels, the screen will be black and the blackness will reflect into the glass, blocking your view with a huge black box. Visions like the camera icon in front of a garden won't be possible with Pepper's ghost.

Pepper's Ghost is just going to create a blurry, difficult to see version of a screen somewhere else on the device. It won't be 3d like Hololens, Rift or Vive, and it won't be able to have transparent views on the glass, as screens can't draw transparent pixels. The whole screen will be reflected on to the glass, if a portion of it isn't lit you'll just see black instead.

Secondly, a headset so small won't be able to handle anything more than Android/Raspbian, it's not going to be able to render PC games or even run PC games unless it's plugged in to a PC.

It's a really cool idea and nicely designed, I really love the look of it! It's just not practical and won't work in real life in it's current form.

One of your variables in the Interact function of the fps maker asset you're using is set to null, but you try to use it anyway. Make sure to set whatever the variable is

tobbestarkvSync is only usesul to CRT-screens. And what it does is that it freezes the frame before the frame that you are actually looking at and lays that other frame on top of the new one. It get laggier, but makes the fps smoother for CRT-screens

Vsync is useful for all types of monitors - monitors have a refresh rate (normally 60hz or 120hz ), and if a graphics card doesn't output frames at this frequency it'll lead to the monitor tearing, where the new frane will tear over the old frame causing visual artifacts like so.

Vsync fixes this by forcing the gpu to output at the same frequency. However this can lead to lower performance, for example if your monitor is 60hz you'll be limited to 60fps. What you're thinking of is likely re projection or interpolation

bmanrulesYou need to optimise it then. Get a LoD system in place, bake lightmaps rather than realtime, merge multiple building textures into one to reduce draw calls and merge meshes which use the same textures to increase performance. Ignore network data from players outside of a certain range (if you've already added networking, if not it should be one of the first things you do if you want to promise the kind of multiplayer you promise, which is very difficult unless you run multiple server instances) and if after all this you still find performance an issue, use a chunk loading system. No sane game developer would ever have 3000 unique buildings loaded fully at the same time.

Ingame there are NEVER 3000 unique buildings LOADED, but in the editor it shows it all.

LoD systems all work in-editor too, and it only renders objects near to the editor camera. You should have no real performance issues with the editor itself with an APU, if you do then it's time to get a PC or Laptop built in the past 3 years. If the editor lags you'll never be able to develop a good looking game.

What network solution are you using?

Aaannnddd explain how how integrated graphics will run Unity 5's new Physically based shading system? Hmmmm?

Runs fine for me on HD 4000 3ghz.....

With 3000 unique buildings? Too much geometry for an APU.

Unity is only as bad as the developer using it.

    Ah, nice.

I've had no problems importing the model into Unity - Unity works best with FBX files as opposed to Obj files.

Here it is loaded into my current game's project (ignore everything but the phone model ) It's not textured.

.fbx files are literally one of the most, if not the most popular filetype for 3d models

This mostly applies to 3D renders.

I created the island model and clouds myself, the rest is just post processing and some anti-aliasing

Not necessarily an asset store kit, he just followed these tutorials:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5Snsi68xzE

Edit: Seeing as people took this as me trying to put the game developer down, I've got nothing against using tutorials and was showing the above user it wasn't a kit. Assets I'm less of a fan of, but to each their own.

I'd recommend starting with A Link to the Past or Ocarina Of Time (if you can get the 3ds copy great). Skyward Sword or Phantom Hourglass could make good introductions, though their gameplay is a less traditional compared to other Zeldas

The "graphics" don't have much to do with Unity. You could pull off great looking games in Unity (See Rust, The Forest) but it's all down to the artist and programmer. Other engines just provide better pre-made shaders for you to use.
