[spoiler=Exciting News! New Spawn Construction!]Many of you might be confused why there is a giant concrete hole of where the old New City/Server Spawn used to be... After about 3 months of approval and design processes, the NewCity City Council (Blockitect_John, Sportastic, and ISprux) have put on the green light to construct one of our biggest projects to date. The design involves a large mult-transit terminal. It will be the grand central of our server. Players will spawn inside our awe-dropping terminal hall, gazing out towards our famous city skyline through our sweeping vista and sun light roofing windows. The design was considered to be indoors so players would have less lag, yet have a consistency and clarity on where and what to go to in the server, while still having this all in a space where players get to see our skyline. The underground portion involves a massive set of train boxes. For portals, we are using our "subways" instead. The main hall train box will house a multi-track system that will take trains towards portals to teleport players to different server spawns. Right next to it there will be a commuter train box housing connections to the already under construction new city subway, as well as having additional expansion room. There will be a rail line to Disneyland and other cool features of the City. This new train idea allows players to easily get to what they want to in the server. Above the train boxes, we will construct the main mezzanine, which will have shopfronts, information desks, ticketing booths, and other facilities. There will be escalators to the upper level, which will have the "bus" deck. This idea of a bus facility is instore for horse and other drop of and pick ups. Yet, this area serves as a potential expansion place to coexist with the minecraft updates to come. But mainly the bus deck will house solid portals to places, if players do not wish to use the subway. The architecture of the bus platform will be indoors and outdoors, all while providing a sense of superiority as players look down at our streetscape. The building is as well as conveniant as the whole structure spawns a connection to the sears, john hancock towers, as well as the stadium. This allows us to easier hold server events. The New Spawn is also connected the the server center at the lobby of the sears tower, once again in conveniance. The upper levels of the New Spawn connected to the towers will be used for expansion. Finally, the top roof will hold not only gaping sun roofs and large vistas, but the old spawn park. The roof will also slope backwards in an elegant hill down towards the stadium. The roofs will have plazas, fountains, a ampitheater, as well as a rotating resatraunt. This is alot, and the whole project will be drafted out in a 6 page plan i will post later. Otherwise there is the temporary spawn to act as our spawn untill this finishes construction, which I would say can be anywhere from the end of this to next week, all the way to the end of this month! Dont expect it to be done quickly! I can really use some extra hands![/spoiler]
