well..are you planning on watching them while they fight or not.If you are then put levers connecting to dispensers with skeletons or zombies spawn eggs inside.And if not well...I don't know we tried trip wire and once you activated it the mobs activated it again and again!(I wouldn't do that.) hope it helps!
