Believe it or not, I only started playing Java edition in 2019! Before that, I played Pocket edition from 2013-2016 (I was one of the people that stopped after 2016). But the first time I've heard of Minecraft was from a friend of mine who played in beta during 2010.
I wouldn't remove any mobs, but I would nerf skeletons. First off, their aim is waaaaaaaaaay too OP, it's not even fair! And I would also make their health slightly lower than zombies too.
