I believe that your if's syntax's structure is a bit wrong, and I think that that's the problem.
It should be:
if(condition)
{
//execute code here
{

Meaning your if should look like this:
if (A1.Text == A2.Text && A2.Text == A3.Text)
{
there_is_a_winner = true;
}
