due to some recent incidents I thought it would be wise to clarify what "
free to use" means, and what I'm alright with you doing with my skins.
1. you CAN to edit them as you please for PERSONAL USE.--> changing the colours around is fine!
--> removing the sleeves on an outfit is fine!
--> putting your head on an outfit is fine!
--> mix and matching different skins to create your own outfit is fine!
2. you are NOT free to upload my skins!--> if you change the colours of a skin, you CANNOT reupload it as your own work!
--> if you re-shade my skin but keep the base shapes and colours, you CANNOT reupload it as your own work!
3. are you NOT free to re-distribute my skins or claim them as your own!--> if you edit my skins, you CANNOT sell them -- even for in game currency on other servers!
--> if you edit my skins, you CAN give them to your friends -- just make sure you tell them I made it!
4. you CAN reference my skins.--> you are welcome to look at how I shaped some sleeves here, how I shaded a sash there, etc. that's fine!
--> you CANNOT 'reference' my skin and re-make it to your own specifications by taking the base I've done and re-shading it or re-colouring it, then claim it as your own. this is fine to do for personal use, but DO NOT UPLOAD THIS and DO NOT SELL THIS. THIS IS THEFT!
it is incredibly disheartening when people take my work and pass it off as their own, and really ruins any motivation I have to continue posting free to use skins. I do my best to be vigilant where I can be, but I can't be on top of everything. if you have questions about what you can and can't do regarding my skins, feel free to send me a mail!
