We have had a few people request this on the server today, so this will give you a step by step instruction on how to become a builder.
First things, first. What are some key features (see my essentials tutorial on full list) you can gain by becoming a builder: The ability to /sethome, lock your chests (even from other players in your faction), Use of the markets, and a sweet green name in chat (none of that lame yellow crap.)
How to become a builder:
1. Go to
http://www.planetminecraft.com/server/laidback-gaming/2. Either sign in or create an account (takes 2 minutes tops, even if you type with 1 finger).
3. Give the server a Diamond which is found on the top left of the page, just left of the "L" in Laidback Gaming.
4. Go down to the comments, and leave your in game name (for brownie points, say something nice, even if it is a lie).
5. (Optional, but appreciated) go back to the top of the page and vote for us as the top server. This can be done once a day, however, just once will make my day! (cheesy? you bet!)
6. Let an admin know that you have done this step, they will check out the page to double check and then promote you.
It is as simple as that, then just sit back and /home all you want and laugh at all the people with boring yellow chat names.
