Give the father a break, he is probably too thick to know guns aren't toys for your kids.
But seriously though I have a degree in psychology. And I find that video games don't cause people to do violent things, in fact I would go as far as to say the violent the better. Let the little hoser play the games, they let the animalistic impulses out. Especially before puberty.
