"To arms! To arms!" The Paladin soldiers began rushing out of their bunks. "Shit, an attack in the middle of the night?" As they began heading towards the door to exit their sleeping area, the doors were strangely locked. "Huh? What is this?" Bang. Bang. "Hey! Hey! Open up!" One of them went towards the door and leaned on it, he heard footsteps and voices outside. "There's someone outside!" Mysteriously the door unlocked and it opened. "Alright lets-" Before he could exit he noticed that all the weapon racks, rather than in the designated building were outside at the main grounds. A senior Paladin sergeant came forward. "Its probably the browncloaks, to arms, initiates! Today-" Before he could finish, flash of metal. The initiates stood backwards and the senior Paladin sergeant's body and head came falling to the ground. Behind him were a few of the 'farmers' from earlier that day. All of them had shocked expressions on their faces. The 'farmers' slowly advanced and they tore off their clothing to reveal their true colors. One of them spoke, "Feel free to get your weapons. However let's see if you can survive the gauntlet." Screams were heard from the barracks and the outlying buildings as well. At the front of the outpost, the gates were slowly creeping open.

"Mmmmm..." Kublai surveyed Amon's warriors and than looked towards his own. "I see. Well then we shall commence your plan of attack then. I and a band of hand-picked warriors shall infiltrate into their encampment. However I suggest the assault should begin at night, most of them should be sleeping and we can take care of the sentries. However if we attack with the light, I shall adjust plans accordingly. In either case, I'd like to have the encampment mostly intact, we shall not raze it yet. Prisoners would be nice but not required."

"80 paladins?" Kublai pondered for a moment before saying, "Are they all fighters or are only some of them are?" He pointed towards the road, "My men and I are only aware of the Paladin outpost down the road, is there another encampment that they've setup? I have 24 warriors, 10 are warriors the rest are young bloods. We have 30 horses, one for each warrior and 5 extras. The original plan was to sneak into that outpost with a small and disguised elite force. They were to stay there until nightfall wherein they are to take out their night sentries and open the gates for the rest of the main force to enter. After we are to slaughter the Paladins as quickly as possible before they can mobilize. Once we have seized the outpost we are to 'assume' their positions and ambush other caravans that pass by. These outposts and other encampments along the roads are perfect targets so long as you kill them before reinforcements can arrive."

Kublai chuckled and waved his hand. As he did, his men hiding in the flanks calmly walked out of their hiding places and entered the main road. "It is a pleasure to meet someone like yourself. It is always good to spend time with a fellow brother." He turned to his men, "We shall accompany them for awhile." After he spoke this, he turned back to Captain Amon. "It will be a honor to fight alongside you and your warriors. I have heard many fine tales about your honorable Clan."

A few of the disguised young Clansmen looked surprised. The older Clansmen kept themselves expressionless at the encounter. The warriors on the flanks readied themselves until they noticed that Kublai, who was infront leading the caravan raised his right hand. He promptly tore off his disguise to reveal his normal garments. "I am Kublai, Chieftain of the Clan Mikoyan. You may have heard tales of my name."

"Chieftain, why are we doing this?" "Drop the accent. You're supposed to sound like a farmer." Kublai and his warriors were walking down the road. The mission they were on was more for the inexperienced and younger members of the clan than for the older ones. They were a relatively a small band, 25 warriors. Just enough for a raiding party. But the purpose of the mission was not for raiding, not training in the art of deception. For weeks they have been on the mission while the rest of the Clan has been moving about. Two weeks from today, they are scheduled to meet again at the Plains of Jagged Rocks. Right now, 10 of the warriors including Kublai himself were at the center, disguised as a moving caravan of farmers. It took awhile to clean the blood and fix the clothing of its previous wearers but in either case, farmers, especially those of the countryside were looked down upon anyway. The rest were hidden and guarding the flanks of those at the center, slowly moving along with the caravan. "If you can't sound like a farmer at the end of the week, you'll be sent back to the flanks." The young Clansman sighed, "Yes Chieftain." The road they walked upon headed towards a Paladin encampment, one of their outposts they keep along the roads to protect travelers. At the same time a perfect place to ambush caravans. As they moved along, Kublai looked again at the map. The road they were travelling on not only led to the Paladin Outpost but it also split off to a Valley. They were due to arrive at the junction into the valley by tomorrow. That would be a excellent point of reference whether or not the map they obtained from the last caravan was accurate.
((Skylorf, my guys are heading the same place you but there is an opportunity to meet them along the way. Your choice but they're disguised as farmers so this should be interesting in either case.))

Name: Kublai the Successor of Mikoyan (Browncloaks) or Kublai the Vulture (Paladins) and Edward Ashworth (Name given to him by his master)
    Race: Human
    Faction: Browncloaks
    Backstory:
    Click to reveal
Kublai was raised with his Clan, Mikoyan, while the Paladins and their kin think that all the Browncloaks are savage barbarians, the same thought is mutual for the Browncloaks. Contrary to their beliefs, Browncloaks are indeed organized, there are many Browncloak clans. The problem is that infighting and clan rivalry is the cause of their disorganization. Every Clan is only concerned with the survival of its own kin, a tradition held onto since their ancestors. Kublai was born to the Mikoyan Clan, among the Browncloaks, it is rumored to be the Clan where the 'Great Chieftain Mikoyan' originated from. According to the legend, ages ago there was a great leader who united the Browncloak clans under one banner. It was said before the reign of the Great Chieftain there was much despair and death in the land. The elders say that long ago before the Browncloaks and Paladins, all the ancestors of each peoples dwelled in a grand city. A city so grand and awe inspiring that the very sight was known to shaken the hearts of strangers and compel them to join the city dwellers. However disaster struck and the city fell and the world plunged into despair. It was the 'Great Chieftain Mikoyan' who reestablished order in the wake of such chaos. Under his rule, the land prospered and people once again walked safely in the land. However great changes were made under Mikoyan's rule. Such as rather than live in cities where their culture could be decimated in one blow, they were to wander the land so that there would be a greater chance of survival. He even spoke that everyone should first care for his own clansmen before caring for strangers. However as such great leaders, Mikoyan died from old age and the land fell into mourning. Shortly after Mikoyan's death, prominent members of society began forming their own groups and deviated from the Mikoyan Banner. Few of these groups even betrayed the ideas of Mikoyan himself, citing that the man was a tyrant rather than a beloved ruler. Many split from the Mikoyan Banner, this split is what the elders say caused the current conflict. Those who wanted to stick to old traditions, and those who wanted to deviate and find their own path. Today even fewer Browncloaks follow the original teachings of the Great Chieftain, they follow their own path and seek power for themselves.

Kublai born and raised in the Mikoyan Clan. As a child, he was proud to be born into the clan the once great Chieftain was apart of. As a Mikoyan Clansman, he was expected to learn the teachings of Mikoyan by heart and follow traditions strictly. Mikoyan traditions included those of eating your own dead. While others see this are barbaric, it is a great honor. In the mindset of a Mikoyan, to have your corpse eaten away by animals and the elements was a great disgrace. Kubali bindly believed such teachings, for this was the only world he knew. This changed when he was 12, as his clan was resting at a river, Kublai ran down stream to look for more food when he happened upon a caravan of a Paladin Noble. Rather than kill the boy right off, the nobleman decided to capture Kublai so that the Paladins can have a better understanding of their browncloak enemy. As he was taken away, Kublai saw a few of his friends hiding in the bushes, shaking with fear of being taken away like him.

From the rest of his childhood to early adulthood, Kublai was raised and taught in the teachings of the city dwellers. Additionally Kublai was forced to adopt the Paladin religion and take a new name. The nobleman hoped that by teaching and raising Kublai as one of his own, he could manipulate Kublai and gain tactical information on how the Browncloaks operated. At 18 he even gave Kublai the freedom to wander around the city, and to his expectations, Kublai did not attempt to escape. This filled the nobleman with much joy for in his mindset, this once a ignorant Browncloak has become a productive tool for the Paladins. While Kublai cooperated with the nobleman, he secretly plotted his escape from this artificial prison. He cooperated with the nobleman because he wanted to gain information on the Paladins and the society they created. What he found and discovered about Paladin society made him more disgusted with the Paladins. For example, the strong are forced to work for the weak, this can be seen in their society where the 'fat, ignorant lazy and weak nobles' exploit the strong lower classes. Even the Paladins in Kublai's mindset served a weaker power. From what he heard, their leader rarely leads his men from the front, and he often stays inside his city feeding himself on the labor of lower classes. In Mikoyan Tradition, the Clan Leader must always lead the Clan into battle, to not do so will be a cowardly act and the leader will be seen as weak. Additionally, most Browncloaks follow a simple value, their emphasis on strength. In their experiences, weak people do not survive long in the land. Only by sticking together and building strength can they survive. Most Browncloaks and especially for Mikoyan Clansmen value strength over anything else. While usually it is strength in battle, it can be attributed to other skills such as forging, scouting, intelligence, and even luck.

After studying the ways and traditions of the city dwellers for many years, Kublai decided to plan his escape. One day, he told his master that there was a certain area where the Browncloaks would always gather to find more game. This area was known to the Browncloaks as sacred ground for it was rumored to be the area where the Great Chieftain hunted. Kublai even said the Browncloaks often respected others who came to the hunting site and did not kill them in honor of the Great Chieftain's memory. The nobleman gleamed over this seemingly perfect target and gathered an small army of soldiers. However as they came to the supposed grounds, they found nothing but barren Earth. Unknowingly, they were led by Kublai an area known by the Browncloaks as the Plains of the Citydwellers. Many Browncloak clans go to search for the rumored ruins of the great city and as such they encounter other clans who they see as rivals and often fight over areas they claim are the ruins of the great city. To Kublai's luck, two clans that were fighting each other soon noticed the small group of Paladins and attacked them instead of each other. The nobleman was dazed and demanded that Kublai be brought to him at once. But his soldiers replied that Kublai was no where to be found. At days end, only the Nobleman remained, Kublai to the astonishment of the Browncloaks and the Nobleman demanded that the nobleman be kept alive and sent back to the city. When both clan leaders spoke otherwise, Kublai challenged them both to a duel. Everyone thought Kublai was mad, fighting two opponents at the same time, each having a deadly combat prowess. Kublai fought bravely but was defeated and near death. Before he was killed, he suddenly heard a voice speaking to him. The voice identified itself as the Great Chieftain Mikoyan himself speaking beyond the grave. He was ashamed that the Browncloaks are fighting amongst themselves and that many have deviated from his teachings especially those who christen themselves the Paladins. At the end he ordered that Kublai, with the blood of Mikoyan in his veins to take up the banner of Mikoyan and lead them into a new golden age. The Browncloaks are to be united once more and those who don't, especially the Paladins are to be wiped out from the land. The voice stopped speaking and the sword came down. But before it reached his neck, Kublai suddenly grabbed the sword by the blade. Astonished the Clan Leader tried to shake Kublai from his sword but Kublai merely took the sword away from him. Shaken and confused the two clan leaders began to fight again, hoping to defeat him in their next attack. Kublai pointed his sword at them and dashed forward. His opponents were amazed, how could their beaten adversary still have the strength to carry on? Before they realized their error, they were quickly defeated and killed. In shock and awe, one of the Browncloaks asked for his name. Kublai responded that Mikoyan, the Great Chieftain has given him the task to unite the clans once again. And that since Mikoyan spoke to him, Kublai was his successor to the Chieftain's title. Amazed and awe struck, the Browncloaks there swore their allegiance to him. The nobleman was sent back to the city, but not alone. The Browncloaks accompanied him back to the gates of the city. For the noble was given to task to lead the array of horses which dragged the carts of his dead and decaying army back to the city. After the nobleman reached the city gates, the Browncloaks and Kublai left him there.

Many years after, Kublai managed to reunite with his clan and become chieftain without dueling the previous one. His revelation caused him to fanatically devote himself to reunite the Browncloaks under the Mikoyan Banner and obliterate the Paladins and others who deviated from the Great Chieftain's Teachings. He has gained infamy over the years, for the Paladins he is known as the Vulture because he often displays the corpses of the slain Paladins and their kinsman along the road to their city. He doesn't hesitate to kill their peasants, women and children has well for in his mind, they are beyond redemption. They too are displayed among the dead. Among the Browncloaks he is known to be either a powerful Clan Leader, a paranoid and delusional man, a rival, the successor of the Great Chieftain or even a reincarnation of the Great Chieftain himself. In either case, Kublai was given a great task and he will not hesitate to complete it, regardless of the consequences.

Oasis City, The Sanctum, Underlevel Staircase to Underlevel 2.
The staircase to the lower underlevel was pretty large, it included a staircase and a ramp. The underlevels were used as archives and storage area. Underlevel 1 is for general storage and Underlevel 2 is the archives. The entrance to the Chancellor's Bunker was hidden at Underlevel 2 specifically at the northwest corner. The corner can open to reveal another room with a large door. This door led to the Chancellor's Bunker. The entrance was guarded by 10 members of the Sanctum Security forces who were actually part of the Ministry of the Interior.
Second Lieutenant Schmitt of the 15th Stormtrooper Corps was commanding the soldiers who were trapped in the underlevels. "Trap them here! We can funnel their numbers here!" Schmitt ordered as he walked down the stairs. A few of the soldiers, rather than walk down the staircase decided to use the ramp and slide down to the bottom. The height between the 1st lower floor to the 2nd lower floor was about 15 feet tall. Already, at the bottom, the remaining soldiers were forming a barricade. All of them were aware they were at a bad position, at any time the rebels could roll down bombs on the ramp. If that were to happen they were to fall back to the archives. "Senior Sergeant Beck!" "Yes Second Lieutenant!" "Command the men, here. I'm going check on the last levels." "Yes Lieutenant!" Schmitt quickly moved inside the Archives. He surveyed and looked around. The room was very crowded and much of the people in the room were noncombants, janitorial staff, maintenance crew, secretaries, and such. Most of them were crowded in the center of the room where there was more space. The entire room was full of bookcases. A few parts of the room were sectioned off as study areas. As he looked around he noticed a few security soldiers around one of the corners of the room. "You! What are you doing here!?" The soldiers did not move to his shouting, they kept standing near the corner. "I'm talking to you!" As he drew closer, one of the soldiers started to move, he noticed the soldier was wearing officer's epaulettes. "Whats your ranking sol-" Before Schmitt could finish the soldier with the epaulettes flashed a badge. It was the crested symbol of the Ministry of the Interior. "Move along soldier. This is none of your business." "There are men dying and you are-" "None of your business. Move along."

Oasis City, The Sanctum, Chancellor's Bunker
"Stay near the bunker door, I'm taking direct command of the situation." The bunker was designed so that the main hallway led to all the rooms in the bunker. The Chancellor and his stormtroopers entered the door labeled 'Vault'. The door to 'Vault' was larger than the other doors. It was about half the size of the door large door covering the entrance to the bunker. As soon as they entered the 'Vault' the stormtroopers who were guarding the door blocked Lady Helios and her entourage from entered and closed the door. Loud noises were heard such as crates being broken into, ammunition being loaded, strange clanking and welding sounds. Suddenly a loud roar was heard made from vehicle engines. 5 of these noises were heard and loud footsteps were approaching the door. The whole process took 30 minutes. There was a loud thud on the door and the stormtroopers who were guarding the door, opened it to reveal the Chancellor and his soldiers. The people wandering and guarding the main hallway were looking in astonishment. The Juggernaut was one of the many State secrets of Oceania. Projects, books, discoveries, events or truths that were labeled 'State Secrets' were heavily censored. Their existence was known only to a few and they were guarded by those of the Ministry of the Interior exclusively. These were on a need to know basis. People who potentially discovered these secrets were quickly and quietly exterminated. The Juggernaunt is battle armor developed by Dr. Kharkov, the purpose was to have a walking heavy weapons platform. The wearer has to be very physically fit and strong, the battle armor was powered by its own miniature steam engine. The armor was made to withstand shrapnel and musket fire. Each of the armors was customized for specific uses, one was equipped with a flame projecting weapon, one had a miniaturized cannon which fired explosive projectiles, one was given an even smaller version of a scatter cannon but with much less force but still having a revolving 3 shot, one was more armed and given a large war hammer, another was given an experimental repeater gun with a belt of ammunition attached to the back and one was given red trimming and its face mask was colored white. This one was armed with another repeater gun and a shield. Despite the appearance of these armors, it relies on their power supply to move. Each had enough power for 10 minutes. Refueling was out of the question, due to their experimental nature it took 3 hours for refueling and maintenance. Additionally walking in it was very cumbersome. Regardless, wearing this armor made the wearer feel as if they were the Gods of War. The one with the white face mask spoke, "Open the doors and clear the path. These armors are still on the testing stage and we got 10 minutes." Soldiers at the entrance began unlocking the large locks to the door. After the locks were moved, they began opening the door. Kipling spoke, his voice was somewhat distorted by the face mask. "I'm taking direct command of the situation. Lady Helios, provide support." The Juggernaut wearing soldiers and Kipling began moving towards the opened entrance of the bunker. A few soldiers pushing ammunition carts followed behind.

Major General Romanov grinned, obviously they knew what they were talking about. A few of the staff had angry looks in their faces, to them they were astonished that the orcs were speaking to their superiors like that. "I see you have a good idea what is going on. I would appreciate the assistance but we're in a tight situation." He looked towards the city. "As you can see, we have a slight insurgency at the works. I have no idea what is going on inside but at the moment there is a force preventing our entrance. I did send a few assault waves but it was to no avail. I need the soldiers to hold the permeter and prevent their escape if they attempt one." He looked once more to the skies. "You could try to sneak in through the air, they have few air defenses but they maintain a sizeable airship fleet above the city. If we do try this, then I need you reach a building at the center of the city known as the Sanctum. There you shall find the Chancellor." He turned around to face the entourage. "But if you have any other plans, feel free to tell me."

General Romanov noticed the white flag and turned to his command staff. "Load flares to black, all guns are to stop immediately." "Yes General." The command staff drew their own flare guns and loaded a black striped shell into flare gun. Black flares show up into the sky and the heavy cannon fire quickly subsided. "Have the crew land within the vicinity, make known the landing area." His aide grabbed a few soldiers and they each equipped themselves with a smoke bomb. They walked a few feet from the observation post and spreaded apart from each other, forming a rectangle. They ignited the smoke bombs. Green smoke lifted towards the sky and a distant shape is made on the ground. One of the soldiers was waving naval signal flags, making the sign to land in the designated area.

    Oasis City, The Sanctum
Captain Kaufman of the 15th Stormtrooper Corps was having the fighting for his life. He and his squad were pinned down in the general mess hall of the Sanctum, rebels poured through the north and east entrances shifting from one table to the next, flipping over furniture for cover. Kaufman was at the center directing his soldiers who were situated around him and those entering from the south entrance. "Klaus! Concentrate fire on those hiding behind the tables in the corner, they may be trying to snipe us!" "Already on it Captain." Bang! Bang! Captain Kaufman ducked down his table and checked his ammunition, 4 clips left. "Ammo check!" "5 clips!" "I got 2 left Captain." "On my last clip." "Here take this, I got 4." "3 left!" Captain Kaufman let out a sigh of frustration, the rebels did not seem to stop coming, and his soldiers are starting to run out of ammunition. "Any news on the other squads?" "No updates so far." Just as one of the stormtroopers said this, Captain Kaufman noticed from the corner of his eye, another stormtrooper bursting from the south entrance and running towards his postion. "Cover fire! Cover Fire!" Kaufman ordered to his men. Immediately the fire from the squad intensified, the rebels ducked for cover, those too slow to react met a quick end. The stormtrooper reached the barricade and fell to the floor, tired from exhaustion. "Whats the story soldier?" Kaufman ordered. The Stormtrooper leaded against the barricade, trying to catch his breath. " *Pant* Captain....the...the colonel is dead. Your in command now." Kaufman looked down for a moment, "Any other news?" "Yes...you're...you're going to get cut off...most of our forces....concentrated on the upper floors....slowly falling back to the upper floors....lower floors yet to be compromised...mixture of our troops and security forces are holding them off...." "Well, soldier sorry to do this again but we going to start running. We need to regroup." "Ye..Yes sir..." "Kaufman turned to his men, throw the bombs! We're regrouping!" A chorus of clicks were heard and small metal orbs were thrown towards the rebels. The sparks came from the ever shortening fuse. "Go Go Go!" Kaufman spoke and he leaped from his position and ran towards the door. A few explosions covered the room as the stormtroopers made their escape.

Oasis City, The Sanctum, Chancellor's Bunker
Kipling paced back and forth in the War Room, contemplating his next action. His officers were scrambling back and forth trying to be kept updated in the situation happening above them. "The bunker is three floors below the Sanctum! Its not even in the blueprints, the rebels will never find us here!" "Idiot, don't you see? It's only a matter of time before they discover our location! There is not enough experienced combat personal to fight them off! What the hell is the 15th doing right now?" "Major! The rebels have breached the first underlevel! Security and 15th are starting to lose ground." "Shit, we have to take account for the noncombatant personal hiding in the 2nd underlevel. We may have more collateral." "Just give them weapons to fend for themselves, don't they realize the Chancellor is here?" The heated arguments went back and forth. Kipling didn't pay attention to the unfolding chaos, many of the officers here didn't have direct combat experience. They only commanded from the safety an armored carriage or bunker. Moreover, Kipling had no faith their combat ability because none of the officers here fought in the Revolution, a time where the odds were even greater. These insurgents are too well armed, too well trained. There is no way they could be insurgents at all. Insurgents do not have that type of training or tactical thinking. Something is happening without my knowledge... The arguements in the background soon turned into a heated brawl as one of the officers pulled his sidearm out. "If you wish to leave and die out there be my guest! But don't drag us into your suicide!" "I'd rather know when my death comes than sit around here and wait for it to happen!" "Where the hell is our reinforcements?" "They're approaching the Sanctum but they are stalled by more enemy combatants." "Shit! For how long?" "Unknown, enemy force is sizeable." Kipling stopped pacing and faced his officers. "Everyone listen to me!" The room fell silent. "Major Hauptman, what is the status of the Juggernauts?" A few gasps and whispers filled the room. "Chchch....Chancellor? Are you sure? Doc-" "Doctor Kharkov is known to be filled with surprises. The prototypes are probably already combat ready. There are 5 of them, yes?" "Yes...there are Chancellor, but-" "Its time to hasten their combat trials." Kipling looked towards his personal cadre of stormtroopers in the War room. He nodded to 5 of the 9 stormtroopers. "Follow me, the rest stay here and wait. I end this insurgency myself." Before he left the room, he turned towards one of the officers, "Alert the fair lady that she may accompany this operation." "Yes sir." The Juggernauts...may they turn this situation for the better. Kipling grinned. It's been awhile since I've walked onto the battlefield.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! The Colonel ducked under the fortification. While these newer rifles were able to fire five shots in rapid succession. The drawback was that the barrel of the rifle gradually got warmer and the wielder has to wait for the barrel to cool. One had to be careful to not overheat the barrel, for if one does overheat the barrel, the gun itself becomes completely useless. The Colonel watched at the barrel of his rifle as the bright red slowly began to dissipate and become dull gray in color. As he loaded another clip, he noticed the stormtrooper he sent earlier running towards him. "Status!" The Colonel yelled over the gunfire. "There's a airship coming towards the Sanctum at high speed!" "What is it's weaponry!?" "No visible weaponry!" Many scenarios came into the Colonel's mind, either it was a diversion for another attack, full of reinforcements, a hidden gunboat, a moving shield, or... "Colonel, the airship is within sight!" The Colonel looked over and saw it. The airship was small enough to fit in the streets but large enough to be carrying something of a large caliber. Either way it was coming at high speeds at towards his position. "Tell the scatter cannon to focus fire on that airship if they haven't already! Tell squads 3 and 4 to focus fire on it! I don't care if its out of range at the moment!" "Yes Colonel!" The stormtrooper immediately leapt from his cover and ran over the the designated units. The airship was getting closer and closer. "Send it to Hell!" Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! The scatter cannon began firing upon the airship, as the airship got closer the accuracy of the shots significantly increased. "That thing isn't stopping!" The airship was a less than a quarter of a mile away from the main gate. The Colonel stood above the fortification and pointed his rifle towards the airship. "All units! Focus fire on it! I don't give a damn whos shooting at you right now! Stop that airship!" Volley after Volley hit the airship, but by its armor or by luck, the airship did not ignite. The airship passed the main gate. "Scatter! Fan out!" The Colonel yelled, the stormtroopers scrambled from their positions and ran along the sides of the building. Undaunted, the Scatter gun crew still was trying to take it down. "Fire! Fire! FIRE!" Yelled the Gun commander, just as it passed the first fortification, it ignited. A large Boom was heard throughout the city. Followed by a few moments of eerie silence. The Colonel stood up and brushed the dust off his uniform and looked back. The explosion not only obliterated the forward outside defenses, but the front entrance of the Sanctum was rubble. He quickly scanned the area assessing more of the damage. From his estimates, few of the casualties were caught in the actual explosion, the rest was from the blast wave of the explosion or the raining debris. Either way, the enemy did not give them respite, as he noticed figures moving through the dust clouds. He took out his flare gun and fired it into the air. Immediately, the stormtroopers scrambled inside. Those who did not quickly recover from the blast were gunned down by the assaulting legionaries and other attackers. Inside the Sanctum, a the 15th Stormtrooper Corps Signalman, was relaying a message to the Chancellor's Bunker from his secondary field telegraph for his main one was damaged in the blast.

Kipling grinned, "Very well. If you have any questions on where he keeps the rations ask anyone of my staff or soldiers here and they will guide you to the storage." He returned and looked at the board. Helios underestimates my abilities. I guess that will be her mistake when we in- "Chancellor!" Spoke one of the signalman, most of the officers in the room turned towards him. "What is it soldier?" "Object is identified as an airship, 15th are engaging it as we speak." There was a brief pause. "They're using the scatter cannon and focusing fire but its not stopping!" Kipling looked towards the board, either the airship was being used as a assault craft, gunboat or.... "Order the 15th to spread out, warm them that it may be-" "Chancellor! The Airship is less than a quarter mile away!" "Signalman, order the 15th to spread out!" "Yes Chancellor." The signalman held the headset to his ear and began speaking "15th, you are to spread out! 15th you are to spread out!......Chancellor, the airship has entered the Sanctum grounds!" "Repeat my or-" The bunker rocked and dust flew onto the occupants of the bunker, some items fell off the tables and one of the lanterns fell to the ground. The shockwave caused everyone to fall onto the floor. Kipling fell over but after the shockwave subsided, slowly got up onto his feet and blew the dust off the board. "Ahem. Report!" "Shit, I think I lost communication with the 15th!" "You what!" Everyone fell silent, the signalman nervously began tapping his telegraph. "ChCh...Chancel-" "Spit it out!" "Ffff....forward defenses have been wiped out in the explosion. Almost all the defenders outside guarding the forward approach are dead. Insurgents may already be in the Sanctum, 15th and security forces are trying to maintain borders."

Oasis City Outskirts, Oceanic Relief Force's Perimeter (Sunset)
Major General Romanov was standing at on top of a hill surveying the Insurgent positions. "They got a pretty good defensive perimeter. Impressive for insurgents." His aide looked at him with a puzzled expression. "You have to look at the enemy with respect, if you don't you underestimate his capabilities." "Of course General." He stopped and turned towards his command staff. "Whats our current strength?" "Major General, we currently have 3 Landcrawler platoons, 6 conscript companies, and 3 human companies at the ready. More are due to arrive early in the morning." "How about the fleet?" "They will arrive at night of tomorrow." "Well, we attack as soon as more arrive. We already lost soldiers from the initial and prodding attacks." "Sir, wouldn't the cause the Chan-" "At this point, I'd rather wait and defeat the insurgents in one blow than make pointless and costly attacks." "Yes General." "If they try to run, they're going to be shot down by a ring of anti- airship guns." Just as he said this, he noticed a light from the sky. "What the hell is that?" Everyone looked up. His aide spoke up, "An airship sir, unknown markings." "You see what I see?" "What sir?" Major General Romanov took out his flare gun. "Wreckage." He fired his flare gun into the sky towards the airship. Immediately, the heavy guns began firing towards the sky, dark grey puffs soon filled the sky.

((Gravity block, they are firing at you because they assume you are with the insurgents/radicals.))

Biography: Pavel was born to the Kazak Clan who dwell in the frozen lands of Wilderghüst. The Kazaks are known to be skilled warriors on powerful steads who are known to overcome even the largest of armies. Many stories are told of them being fierce, cold hearted warriors who symbolize the unforgiving cold of Wilderghüst. People who wander in Wilderghüst, often be wary of sightings of Kazaks. For the Kazaks leave only a trail of mangled corpses and looted wagons. Rarely has anyone actually seen a Kazak, many sightings of Kazaks are just hallucinations caused by fear of actually meeting them. In the past, the Kazaks were a group of ethnic human nomads who wandered the region of Wilderghüst. They were known to be a very warrior culture and often murdered outsiders who came too close the settlement or was suspicious. Today, they function more as a Guild. Most travelers who meet them are often killed but those who successful in resisting them or show potential are offered to join the clan. Being part of the Kazak Clan is often a great secret, to preserve the culture, traditions and heritage of the Kazak Clan. There are very few ethnic Kazaks left, most of the Kazak Clan are 'honorary Kazaks'. Most of remaining the ethnic Kazaks have kept the blood between ethnic Kazaks, but those who mate with non-Kazaks are looked down upon by the ethnic Kazaks. Those of non-pure blood are often looked down upon by the ethnic Kazaks.
While boys at his age were learning to walk, Pavel was learning to ride a horse. The bond between a Kazak and his horse is sacred in Kazak Culture. By childhood, Pavel was riding horses and training with a sword. At a young age, he realized that he was better than his peers at swordsmanship and often could defeat them in duels in less than 2 minutes. He passed the Trials with astonishing speed, by teenage years he was already participating in the raids. At young adulthood, he followed tradition and spent a few years wandering the land to hone his skills as a warrior. However the usual time for this is about 5 years in wandering, the longest being 7 years. After the years of honing, you are expected to return back to the Clan. Pavel has not returned home since 18, the earliest age to start the years of wandering. For these 14 years, Pavel has been wandering the land as a mercenary. The initial reason for continuing this journey has long been gone from his memory. But he wanders the land, searching for glory or a reason to return back to his native homeland.

((Sorry I was out for awhile. Kirito there is still a meeting at the Great Hall, just a reminder.))

Oasis City, Chancellors Bunker (Late Afternoon-Sunset)
As soon as the shouting began, the room stopped and everyone stared at Lady Helios. The only one who hadn't stopped was Kipling who was still gazing at the war board. Kipling grabbed one of the white triangles on the war board and turned towards Lady Helios. Kipling spoke with a light tone, "Ah, Lady Helios you arrived. Welcome to the command room, now would you like anything? Perhaps a flask of water, this bunker stores 8 months of provisions and water. But onto more pressing matters.." His tone changed to more cold and commanding. "We appear to have a small insurgency in the works. A majority of their forces have made a ring around and city and have cut us off. Insurgents started the attack at the Plenty District, specifically The Museum of Rezelian Liberation. They stole and are using Rezelian firearms and possibly a Karaliean war crawler. The Peacekeepers, our law enforcement is effectively taken out until they have setup their temporary HQ at Ingsoc Square. Additionally, most of our forces in the city were concentrated at the Plenty District but a majority of the opposing force has disappeared. I ordered all key locations, The Garrison, Ingsoc Square and a few other areas to be dug in and defended. But the airship dock has been captured by the insurgents and they possess complete air superiority. Reinforcements are already at the perimeter of the city but are stalled by the enemy encirclement. Our airship fleet is due to arrive in 1-2 days. The Sanctum is held by the 15th Stormtrooper Corps, the same Stormtrooper corps who stormed the Rezelian Mountain Fortress 'Gregory'. They are at full strength with 128 men, two mounted scatter cannons, 30 Oceanic warhorses, and 3 armored wagon full of supplies. They planned their defense by dividing their forces in half, one platoon holding the outside and one platoon holding the interior. We also have regular security forces, 150 men mostly armed with pistols, the rest are armed with rifles and propaganda airships being used as reconnaissance." Kipling took a deep breath after finishing his statement. "That is the current situation."

Oasis City, Skies Near the Sanctum of Oceania, Propaganda Airship A37 (Sunset)
"All citizens return to your homes! Anyone who is not a military or government official on the streets is a suspected insurgent and will be shot on sight." The voice amplifiers ringed, the amplifiers were really nothing more than a large horn which amplifies the voice of the speaker as good as shouting but without a strain on the speaker's voice. "Lieutenant!" "What is it?" "Look down!" The Captain of the Propaganda Airship looked down to see an explosion and a few buildings collapse. "Damn insurgents, its going to take at least a month to clean up this mess." As he looked down he noticed a large object gaining momentum and speeding down the avenue where the buildings were. "It's headed for the Sanctum! Ensign Wright fire a flare!" "Yes Captain!" The Ensign opened a wooden box containing a flare gun. He took out a red colored cartridge and slammed it down the barrel of the flare gun. The gun was aimed in the direction of the Sanctum. Boom! Fshhhhhhhhh. A red light streaked to the sky and fell down to the earth slowly.

Oasis City, Sanctum of Oceania, Front (Sunset)
Boom! Boom! Boom! Black and brown clouds filled the distance. "Demolition?" "Looks like it. The ass-" The gray-clad stormtrooper ducked as a bullet hit the wall behind him. Flashes suddenly came from the buildings. "15th! Positions! Butcher the dogs!" The stormtroopers began returning fire to their assailants. So far no casualties from the 15th. The scatter cannons's gun crew began rotating their mighty weapon towards the buildings. "Fire at will!" Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Klang! Click! ------ Clunk! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Oceanic Stormtroopers are the tip of Oceania's sword. Trained to operate in the most harshest environments from the scorching deserts to the freezing tundras, from open fields to claustrophobic caves. Even in death they can still be dangerous. The bodies of stormtroopers are known to be booby trapped with incendiaries. Both the looter and the corpse would be scorched in a matter of moments. "Sergeant Ullrich! Have your squad focus fire on the right! The scatter cannon is going to mop up those on the left!" "Yes Colonel!" He heard more gunfire from the background. He could tell that all flanks were under attack. Suddenly a red light shot up into the sky. "Focus fire on the front gates! Something is headed towards that direction!" He fired a volley into one of the windows and ducked to reload. "What happened to our observers?" "Don't know, but if the insurgents are already in the buildings they must be already dead. Sneaky bastards!" "What about our eyes on the roof?" "Let me se-" One of the stormtroopers looked up and held his hand to his ear. "They're trying to say something but I can't hear them over the gunfire!" "Get up there and find out what it is!" "Yes sir!" The Colonel felt a rumbling heading towards them. Whatever it was, it is big and probably a threat.

    Oasis City, Chancellor's Bunker (Sunset)
The bunker rocked thrice and brown dust fell onto the everyone. "The battle draws closer." Kipling remarked and looked back on the table. One of the telegraph operators stood up, "Chancellor, the Sanctum in under attack, 15th has responded accordingly. Also they report an incoming unknown object towards the Sanctum at high speed." "We found them. Have the deployed garrison and peacekeeper units converge on the Sanctum." After he issued the order, Kipling faced towards Lady Helios. "You may leave if you want and be kept in blissful ignorance or stay here and watch the events unfold. This is a place for warriors, not politicians my dear." He spoke this with a condescending tone.

    Oasis City, Temple District (Sunset)
The peacekeepers looked hesitant. "I don't know, should we trust 'em?" "He could pull a knife as soon as we get close." "Your right, these people look suspicious enough." The two peacekeepers drew their pistols. "Shoot first, question later." Before they could fire, explosions happened in the distance and they looked back. "The hell was that?" The peacekeepers are distracted.

Both Caius and Felt stopped. Colonle Felt laughed, "Ha! Who do you think we are? We're fighting for our freedom not for that!" He pushed the General off his leg and exited the General's cell, locking the door on the way out. Felt grabbed Caius by his collar and spoke to him in a low voice. "Where did we muddle up?" "Not sure Colonel, our disgues should work but he is the General after all. He could know our operations?" "Do you think hes telling the truth?" "No, but you do you how the Director of MiniExt (Ministry of the Exterior) loves to surprise his agents." "Begin protocols." Colonel Felt turned towards the General. "I'm going to ask three questions and I expect the right answers.

    MiniExt's Protocol for Agents Undercover
These questions are designed to test whether or not they are an undercover agents or an asset to MiniExt.

[Answer: The legs are chained, the feet are clamped, the mouth is shut, the ear is clogged, and the Master is Human.]
Second Question, MiniWar is peace. MiniSci is advancement. MiniExt is cloak. MiniProp is truth. What is the difference? [Answer: MiniExt leaves only dust and nothing to follow. All actions never happened. All has never existed]
Third Question, What is the future? [Answer: There is no future but Humanity's]

Smoke. Explosions. Fire. Blood. Limbs. Screams. It was coming to Mikhail as he walked. He couldn't see for some reason. The only thing he was of aware was that his arms were tied to his rifle which was at a ready position and he was blindfolded. Besides the sand, he could faintly remember seeing something and then blackening out. Something was over his eyes and his hands were tied to his rifle. He began walking towards the noises of shouting. He tried speaking but his mouth was gagged by something. A hunter moved along the dunes watching his bait get closer to the target. The human he found earlier had became his decoy. He waited for the target to make his first mistake. Mikhail's arms were tied in a position that he was holding his rifle and the rest of his body was covered in brown rags to conceal the human bait. Mikhail walked closer to the shouts of 'Hello'. He was still fazed from the crash and his senses were off.

Dar'Nú'kúl Capital of Tesera. Military Garrison, Military Police base and Praetorian Guard headquarters (7:55PM)
The Colonel fell to the floor. Agent 'Caius' merely stared at the general and began laughing. "You shouldn't have done that. Things are going to get even worse now." He took out his small pistol and black dagger. "How should we start, C.F.?" A rumbling noise came from behind the general. "Start with the hands, he won't be needing them." The 'corpse' slowly got back to its feet and rubbed the torn cloth at the neck. "I have to hand it to you General. You are one of the few to get the slip on me. But like all of them your hidden weapon wasn't sharp enough." The Colonel tore away the slashed part of the cloak to reveal a steel neck brace. A large scratch was made on it. "Clumbersome but very effective. You know how many have tried to do that? 35. It was after the 3rd person that I began wearing this brace and look how its paid off." After he said this he nodded to Agent 'Caius' who fired towards the General's right leg. Colonel Felt began to draw his own black dagger and made a fighting stance.

Oasis City, Apartment Complex C35 (Late Afternoon)
Peacekeeper Thule was watching the main road, he and the remaining 15 peacekeepers have established sentry posts in the buildings surrounding the complex. If any of the peacekeepers saw the rebels approaching the Sanctum, they would fire a flare in the direction the rebels are moving. "Still no word from Headquarters?" "I think they're still setting it up at the square", replied Peacekeeper Thomas who was still looking through his eyeglass. "Your not even trying to contact them." "Yeah well it will probably take 3 hours to have a functioning base of operations. You have to secure it the square first, then establish locations for the new base, move the equipment..." "I get it Thomas. Do you see anything or what?" "Nothing, the streets are empty." The tenants of the apartment they were using were moved to the apartment next door. The Peacekeepers and Oceanic Military does not want any unnecessary collateral damage. All of the civilians were moved inside. "You think they're coming?" "Probably." There was a knock on the door. Both of them turned towards the door and drew they pistols. "I'll go check it out." Spoke Thule as he approached the door. Thomas grabbed the flare gun from the table. Thule looked through the door's eyepiece to see another peacekeeper. Thule sighed in relief and opened the door. "Peacekeeper, why aren't you at your post?" The peacekeeper saluted. "Sir I have some news to report!" "Spill it out then!" "Your security has been compromised!" Suddenly the peacekeeper drew a dagger and stabbed Thule many times in the chest. Before Thomas could react, a rebel came out from the door and threw his knife at Thomas, hitting Thomas in the chest. Thomas was sent to the floor and dropped the flare gun. Before he could retrieve it, the bloodstained peacekeeper had walked over and stabbed Thomas multiple times. This incident has repeated all over the perimeter. "Looks like we've neutralized their forward observers. This should give us more of a surprise for them." He took out a piece of glass from his pocket and flashed it towards the window. Across the window, flashes came from the windows of other apartments. The early warning system, was eliminated.

Oasis City, Sanctum of Oceania, Chancellor's Bunker, Commander Center (Late Afternoon)
"The Battalion reports that they defenses are ready", reported a radio operator. "Excellent, how soon will reinforcements arrive?" Kipling asked as his stared at the map. He knew that Oceanic forces were not in a good position. A majority of the soldiers currently stationed were not as hardened as he wanted them to be. They had at most 5 battles worth of experience. Kipling preferred 20 battles of experience. Also there is a large hole in Oceanic reconnaissance. While the Propaganda airships did rely some info, they needed eyes on the ground for more precise scouting. Not only that but the airships were sitting ducks for the rebel airfleet. The Patrol fleet was already effectively destroyed, they only made a small dent in the Rebel airfleet before being obliterated. So air support was gone for Oceanic Ground forces. "What is the status of the garrison forces?" "Chancellor, they're already at the plenty district but are reporting little resistance. It seems that a majority of the enemy force is missing." "Have the Garrison complex and Peacekeeper forward operation base reinforce their positions. Any word from reinforcements?" "Its a sticky situation sir, the rebels have effectively cut us off from the rest of the country. The Commander incharge of the reinforcements requests the use of chlorine gas on the insurgents." "Tell him to explore his options. Use the gas only as a last resort. We don't want to reveal our weapons so soon." Something came to Kipling's mind, as he looked over the map. "How are the foreigners being guarded?" "Peacekeepers and a platoon of the garrison." "Lieutenant Colonel Krug." One of the officers saluted. "Bring Lady Helios to the command center, we need her to confirm the locations of the rest of her staff." "Yes Chancellor", replied the Lieutenant Colonel who immediately left the room. Kipling opened a box and took out 6 white triangles. White triangles meant foreigners of interest. "Give an order to all units to equip torches, its going to get dark soon. And I don't want us to be more blind than before"

Oasis City, Temple District (Late Afternoon)
"This are is clear!" Shouted a peacekeeper as he walked down the street. The peacekeepers in Temple District were not affected by the insurgency. As such they took it to themselves to make sure everyone was inside. "Is the time up?" "Affirmative, its 5 minutes past the order, anyone outside can be fired at." As he spoke, he noticed movement in the alley. He blew his whistle. "Halt! Identify yourself!"

Dar'Nú'kúl Capital of Tesera. Military Garrison, Military Police base and Praetorian Guard headquarters (7:53PM)
For Colonel Felt of the Ministry of the Exterior, this was a textbook operation. Move in, secure the package, get the information and bug out. His point man has secured the package and the rest of the agents are securing the complex. No one must know Oceania is involved. All have even taken precautions such as wearing fake rubber ears over their own to look like elves as well as covering their faces as much as possible. "C.F." Colonel Felt, turned with his knife pointed to find one of his agents. "A.D?" "C.F., A.C. as secured the package. We can move there now?" "Any resistance?" "Limited, but dealt with. We've locked the barracks, locked, sealed and booby trapped the armory, and eliminated the walking witnesses." "Excellent. Lead me to A.C." "Yes C.F." The Colonel walked with his agent to cells. As they walked, the Colonel noted blood stains on the walls. "Who was here before?" "A.R. and A.E. sir." "Tell them to clean the blood stains. We can't have those lying around." "Yes sir." A.D. turned to a corridor and began walking to where noises of shuffling were. "Seems like they're already relocating the bodies." The Colonel kept walking forward, he saw the sign reading: Holding Cells. Before he proceeded into the room, he stopped and knocked. Knock. Pause. Knock. Knock. Pause. Knock. Knock. Knock. The door swung open revealing A.C. "Sir, hes in the first cell to the left." The Colonel walked in, for holding cells they were kept pretty clean. Unlike Oceanic Holding Cells, they seemed to have some regard for the prisoner's well being. The Colonel walked to the left and soon found the General. He motioned to A.C. who brung a wooden stool for the Colonel to sit on. The Colonel took a seat. He and all his agents were wearing heavy dark cloaks and carried assorted knives, a pistol with 6 shots, gas masks and small containers of Chlorine gas. "Hello General Tiberius, I am C.F., you may have meet my underling, A.C. We are part of the Darkwood Insurgency. Depending on how you answer my questions determines your fate as well as those of your subordinates. For each time you fail to answer me, there will be punishment. Now first off, what is your current technological developments in the military?"

Oasis City, Sanctum of Oceania (Late Afternoon)
The 15th Stormtrooper Battalion disembarked their transports. They quick formed the armored carriages into barricades. Commander Steinhart shouted, "Alright, 1st Platoon will hold the outside! 2nd will garrison inside! Move the heavy weapons to the front street!" The layout of the Sanctum of Oceania was quite simple, it was a large rectangular building with a tower at each end of it. The center of the building was circular and a dome covered it. The front of the building was very open having few objects for cover, the same was for the sides. Only the back which housed the garden were more soldiers placed there. Combat Engineers laid mines all over the garden and set trip wires. The 1st Platoon moved their transports to form a half circle infront of the building, at the center of the fortification was the scatter cannon. The other was placed overlooking the garden. Battalion flags began flying over the Sanctum at the dome, signaling that they are holding the building. Should the Battalion flags be knocked down, it was a signal that the battalion was wiped out and the building was lost to the intruders. The stormtroopers inside began to barricade the windows and move furniture in makeshift barricades. The noncombat staff were sent to the lower levels and the guards already at the Sanctum stayed inside as reserves or moved down stairs as well. The whole process was estimated to take 30 or 50 minutes to complete fortifications. Nearby peacekeepers were assigned as sentries and monitored the four approaches to the Sanctum. The Sanctum was at the center of the city and there were three roads leading to the sanctum. But all those roads led to the single entrance, the entrance which the scatter cannon faced. "Sir, peacekeepers report no enemy movement so far!" "Tell the men to speed up the pace. Those insurgents could be here any moment."

Oasis City, Sanctum of Oceania, Chancellor's Bunker (Late Afternoon)
Kipling and his guards led the party to the Bunker. The Sanctum had three top levels, a ground floor and two underground levels. The Bunker was located at the very bottom the level. The Bunker was designed to withstand explosions and subterranean attacks. Inside the bunker were 7 rooms, the entrance hall, the kitchen, the living quarters, communications, command center, armory, and Kipling's own office. The Bunker was made to be a complex in itself, in case of war along the border of Oceania. As soon as Kipling and his guests were all in the entrance hall, the guards closed the large steel doors and locked them. "Please stay in the living quarters, its much safer there." Kipling told the group and motioned to his guard. The guard then spoke, "Alright, lets move!" "If you need me, I shall be in the command section." Kipling fast walked to the command center where already a few officers were overlooking a map and talking to their subordinates. The Command Room had a large map of Oasis City at the center with pieces on the map. Red Triangles were Oceanic Military, Black squares were peacekeepers, and green triangles were the opposing force. As soon as Kipling entered the room all of them turned towards them and saluted. "Glory to Oceania!" "Glory to Oceania!" "Excellent, what is the current status of the battle?" "Chancellor, the peacekeepers have lost their footing in the Plenty District, they are falling back. Peacekeeper HQ has been firebombed, the Chief of Peacekeepers is dead, Second Commander of the Peacekeepers Fitch is gathering the remainder of them to Ingsoc Square. Soldiers of the Oasis Garrison have began to spread into area of insurgency and have halted their advance. But they have taken a few casualties along the way due to the attack on the complex before they moved out." "Our reinforcements?" "Already on the way, Firebases Focke and Wulf have responded and the gyroships are already on the prowl?" "Excellent." "However the gyroships are the only thing that is ours in the air. The docks have been mostly captured by the enemy with a small but sizable airfleet. The only thing besides gyroships is the propaganda airships in the air providing reconnaissance." "We need to secure the skies immediately, how soon is aerial reinforcements due to get here?" "The nearest fleet is one or two days out. We do have a patrol fleet but-" "Send them in." "Chancellor there is only two frigates and one destroyer in the fleet. The enemy's fleet consists of." "We need them to buy time so that our ground troops don't get pummeled by the enemy air fleet." "Right, alerting the patrol fleet to move to the docks." A rustling sound was heard and a signalman rushed in. "Sir! First wave of reinforcements were ambushed and are taking casualties! The insurgents have formed a ring around the City, troop strength unknown." "Huh, finally they show some tactics." "Sir! The 15th Stromtrooper Battalion has arrived and is already fortifying the Sanctum as we speak."

Mudel immediately knew what the Ministry of Engineering would do once they get a dragon, dissection and investigation. Perhaps new body armor and new flamethrower designer. A dishonorable end of a noble beast, thought Mudel."Also regarding the paladins, I need to see their training and bios before I can enlist them. I assume we need an officer for them." As Mudel spoke he noticed the movement of Tersean MPs at the doors. He pretended not to notice and took a sip of water from his glass.

Mudel rose from his seat. "We as well." He looked momentarily at his aide who then nodded back to him. "Oceania is willing to trade Rezelian Wheat, this type of wheat is very resilient, grows without needing much water, and grows in enough quantity to feed an entire city for 3 months." Not to mention it tastes bad. Well for Oceanian standards... "Additionally, we are willing to trade Oceanic Steel tools. They are very durable and reliable." Mudel waited for Romulus's response.

Oasis City: West Street (Late Afternoon)
Fwoosh! Bang! Bang! Bang! Ping! Ping! Bang! The fast moving stormtrooper transports began moving to the Sanctum of Oceania. While they did have armored landcrawlers available, such things were slow and cumbersome, they did not have the speed to match the horses. People darted out of the way and ran off the streets to avoid being trampled on. Once these transports were on the move, there was no stopping. The horses were well armored and fast. Bullets missed them or deflected off their slopped armor. While some bullets hit part of the horse, it still kept on going. Oceanic War horses are bred and trained to take great punishments. The horses pulled the armored carriages down the street. Inside the lead carriage was the unit commander along with a few soldiers. "Alright Stormtroopers, the orders are simple. Fortify and defend the Sanctum. We have 2 platoons, 64 men each, and heavy weapons." The convoy consisted of 15 armored carriages, 10 of them were troop carriers, 3 of them were supply wagons, and 2 of them were heavy weapon platforms. Each carriage had two drivers, and the troop carriers had firing ports for its occupants to shoot from as well as roof access. "Sir we're nearing the-" Bang! Bang! "Shit! Snipers!" "Anyone got hit?" "Just a flesh wound sir. Orders?" "Signal HW Team 1 to open up." "Sir what about the collateral damage?" "Understandable." "Roger." The driver took out a signal gun and fired a red flare into the air. Just than clicks were heard and the canopy covering one of the wagons flew out revealing its deadly cargo. The ammunition was loaded, and the scatter cannon began rotating towards the roofs. Erk. Erk. Erk. "12 o'clock, red rooftop!" "Firing!" Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Click. Click. "Reloading" Shiiiing. Thump. Click-Click. The figures on the red roof tried to evade but they soon turned to red mist. "3 o'clock! Light them up!" Erk. Erk. Erk. Erk. Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
((The scatter cannon works like a ww2 autocannon mounted on a truck, but its modified to handle itself under horse power and fires four shots per volley. While it is effective, it requires alot of ammunition to function and cannot make large gashes into buildings like its cousin, the Thunder Cannon can do.))

What did they do before they went on the rocket?:
Interview regarding application to the program
Interviewer: "Alright, next question... what qualifications do you have?"
*chair is heard rocking back and forth in the background*
    Mikhail: "Qualifications huh?"
Interviewer: "Yes, qualifications, we can't pick up some random guy from the street to partake in this mission you know. What are your qualifications?"
Mikhail: "I think my file says why I'm qualified enough."
Interviewer: "Really? Working as a mercenary for 10 years? Wanted criminal? Broke into the Museum of the Battle of Stalingrad in Volgagrad? Sentenced to death for many counts of murder? Assassinated the president of South Africa?"
*chair stops rocking in the background*
Mikhail: "Well when you put it like that I'm surprised you didn't call the police or something when I went into the building."
Interviewer: "I would've. But my supervisor is quite interested why you can here in the first place."
    *Silence for a minute*
    Mikhail: "You got a smoke?"
    Interviewer: "I don't smoke."
Mikhail: "Does anyone in this building have a smoke?"
Interviewer: "This is a non-smoking building."
    Mikhail: "Got any alcohol?"
Intervewer: "No drinking is allowed on the premises."
Mikhail: "You sure no one has a smoke?"
Interviewer: "Look what exactly are you here for?"
Mikhail: *laughs* "My friend, I don't need you. You need me."
Interviewer: "Hardly. You don't seem special to me."
Mikhail: "Your right, I haven't been 'special'. (Pause) For a long time."
    *Chair shuffling sound*
Mikhail: "Mind if I tell you a story?"
Interviewer: "I'm all ears. Let's see what you got, Ivan."
    Mikhail: "Its Mikhail, suka."
    Interviewer: "Pardon?"
Mikhail: "Forget about it. Anyways, I was born into line of hunters. My family was known to bring back the biggest and most challenging game. Before I could read and write, I learned how to hunt. By 13 I could hunt a deer by myself. But not only were we good at hunting animals, we could hunt people as well. I take it you read history?"
Interviewer: "I am familiar with 21st century history."
Mikhail: "Well I'm familiar with 20th century history, specifically 1939 to 1945. The Great Patriotic War, or as everyone else calls it World War 2. My grandfather fought in that war as a sniper. Became famous in the Battle of Stalingrad, he was a hero. And as his descendants, I have to live up to great-grandfathers name. So that is why I joined army and why I got discharged after a few years of service and then ran mercenary. I hunted people like I hunted deer, just like my great grandfather. Which is why I broke into the Museum, I came to get family heirloom. My great grand father's mosin-nagant. I still use the rifle regardless of today's weapons. That weapon is legendary."
Interviewer: "I'm sorry but who is your grandfather exactly?"
Mikhail: "Vasily Zaystev, sniper of the 62nd Shock Army."
    Interviewer: "So what other-"
Mikhail: "I became good in my job as mercenary, the only reason I stopped was because the game was less skilled and the job became boring. The reason why I chose to come along is because I heard there was prey that no one has seen before."
    Interviewer: "Well hold-"
    *Phone rings*
    Interviewer: "Hold on."
    *Phone being picked up*
Interviewer: "Supervisor?........What?.........Are you sure?......You've got the be kidding me?....What?.....That was nothing sir......Alright....Have a good day sir."
    *phone is placed down*
Mikhail: "So do I get job or what?"
Interviewer: *sighs* "Whats the term of your contract?"
Mikhail: "My terms?" (Pause) "Well a few things. I would like my grandfather's rifle and pilotka back and ammo for the rifle. Second I want all charges to be dropped.Any other things should be given out by you."
    Interviewer: "Seems fair, anything else?"
    Mikhail: "Yes actually."
    *Handcuffs rattle*
Mikhail: "Can you unlock these handcuffs?"

Why did they volunteer for the rocket?: Explained it in the interview, he wants to hunt larger prey.
Apart from ultimates, what alien would you least like to meet?: Hunters. That would be the most interesting for him to face.
Anything else?: While he uses a old bolt-action mosin-nagant as his sniper rifle, he still uses other modern equipment. But if he was keep a few things it would be his rifle and pilotka (Garrison cap).
