You will need to setup an A record to point to the server IP which you can get at http://www.whatsmyip.org/
You will also want to make sure you have the right ports opened on the server.

I run an apple Xserve and I would personally suggest running some type of VM as there are not a whole lot of Control panels out there for Mac OS X in general. I will dig around and see what I can find in terms of a control panel for mac.
Let me know if you need any help

hmm well if this is a home desktop you could squeeze by with 20-30 players depending on the amount of memory you give it. I personally run all my servers off my dedicated servers. let me know if you have any questions. I would be glad to help as much as I can

Help/JavaEdition How to prevent DDOS?

Yes if they can some how access your IP ie a dns lookup or nslookup of the subdomain then they could in theory DDOS your server. You would need some type of DDOS mitigation system or firewall installed between the server and the outside world to stop the attack or disperse it

1) yes in the server.properties set allow-flight=true
2) yes and no. if you mean like a subdomain yes but you would need a domain for that and something pointing at the ip.

for example I own the domain cigaming.biz and I have a subdomain that would point at the ip and it would be mc.cigaming.biz or something like that

haha its ok. if you are connecting via local connection use either localhost or the internal ip. (something like 192.168.x.x or 10.0.x.x)
x.x represent your internal network ip and the external ip at www.whatsmyip.org is for anyone out side your network Ie your friends connecting to your server

Minecraft/Servers Requesting.. A 2 GB Server.. Unlimited Players.

just a note 2Gb of ram does not get you unlimited players.
You will run in to lag issues and much more. If you are planning on adding plugins and maps they take up ram and space. Also most don't just hand out a server. I run servers my self but with that note we charge for the servers. 2Gb -- $5.50 USD/month and holds about 24 players less with plugins

IntimidationsI was thinking about starting up a Kit-Map server (kinda like HCF if you don't know what it is). I was wondering how many GB I should need to run it with like 30-40 players. Would 16GB be fine or would I need to buy a dedicated server for it? Please answer if you have any knowledge about this kind of stuff pls!

I would be glad to host it for you.
I do competitive pricing on most of my stuff and you should only need about 4-5GB of ram for 30-40 players and thats not including plugins you would like to use. if you have more then 10-20 plugins maybe an extra 4 or so Gb of ram.
Let me know if you would like to look at hosting. I would be glad to host
