I've had Windows 10 for a few months. It's run a lot smoother than I expected. I would recommend upgrading, if you don't mind a few things changed. They're still changing stuff of course, and there are a few bugs that they need to fix. (The recycling bin icon changes to the full one after computer restart even if there is nothing in it - you have to empty it after every restart) Most people told me not to for driver compatibility issues, but so far all of my computer parts (Anker Wireless gaming mouse, CM Storm Devastator Keyboard, AMD Readon Graphics Card, etc..) that were expected not to work have. The only downside I noticed at first is that they removed the Aero theme. After a month or so I noticed it updated and they added it, but it's pretty bad and far less than what I expected as Windows 7 had nice Aero themes. Once I got used to it I actually like the solid color better, though. They've changed all of the icons so that the majority of them look simpler. As for startup time, 21 seconds is what I usually get.
