((Cd_orange I am happy that you understood what I meant and I hope I don't come across as whiny but "landships" are really just the collective name for the early kind of tanks. They usually according to my knowledge were outfitted with several somewhat small front-facing cannons that only could move either up or down instead of rotate like the more modern tanks. Once more I don't want to come across as rude in any way and I must say I quite enjoy reading your posts ))
Olaf Hylden's Office, Blue Rock City (Midday)
Olaf scratched his bald head as he looked at the reports he had recieved from the engineers down in Manufacturing. It depicted in great detail their progress in creating magazine based firearms. "Bigger firearms such as rifles are too dangerous at the moment... Managed to create small prototype pistol... Considered fully safe... Sometimes jams... Recommend arming one of the king's guard with prototype for testing purposes..." Olaf mumbled to himself as he read. He threw down the report on his desk when he finished reading, leaned back in his chair, grabbed his cup of green tea and simply relaxed as he drank its contents. The king had never quite understood the luxury of a nice hot cup of tea since he thought it simply tasted like slightly bitter water, nevertheless did he agree to fund his friend's addiction and gave him enough money for a year's worth of tea leaves. Money that had almost ran out after only four months. Olaf looked at the pieces of paper that were spread out over his beautiful ebenholts desk and he was about to pick them up again when he suddenly heard a loud knock on his door. "You may enter!" He yelled and took another sip from his cup before putting it back on his desk. The man that entered the office was carrying what looked to be a very heavy package. ((No sexual jokes intended :3)) He placed it on Olaf's desk and then left without saying a word. Olaf opened the package and looked inside where he found a canister of some sort and a note. He quietly read the note and a big smile spread across his face. "It seems our benefactor came through for us!" He said, grabbed his cup, drank the rest of it's contents and then left to notify his staff of their new task.

    The Citadel of Cadalirith (Evening)
"Ow my ears!" Nathaniel said and hit them with the palm of his hand to make sure they still worked. After he assured himself that he in fact weren't bleeding from his ears he continued. "I must say, I'm impressed by those trumpets! It felt like I had one the dragons you adore so much roar straight into my ears!" He then turned towards the deckhands that were unloading the stuff he'd be needing during his stay in Cadalirith. "Just a question but why don't I have a guy with a scroll announce my presence?" "Quite simply because you haven't hired anybody to do it" One of the deckhands answered after he dropped a box he was carrying. "Oh I didn't? Could one of you please write it down on a note so I don't forget to do so when I get back?" The Seldorian king then turned back towards Ultrinct. "I am so sorry. Now where were we? Oh yes! Greetings Lord Ultrinct it is a pleasure to finally meet you! I have heard a great deal of you from travelers that come to my lands. All good things I assure you!" Nathaniel then took a couple of steps forwards and bowed. "I am Nathaniel Seldor the second of his name and king of the Kingdom of Seldora. It is quite alright that you didn't have anything prepared, after all we are a little early." He said and smiled towards Ultrinct before standing up straight again. "I have been longing for a proper party for a while now and I will take you up on that offer, wine tastes better with company anyway."

Outskirts of Cadalirith (Late evening two days after they left port)
"My liege? My liege!" One of the deckhands said as he shook Nathaniel violently to wake him. "What is it?" The king said still half-asleep. "Sorry to disturb you while you sleep but we have arrived at our destination and we thought that you might want to see it." "Great! I look forward to getting off this floating piece of lumber!" Nathaniel who now was fully awake walked up to the railings and looked at the beautiful city below him. As the sun hadn't fully disappeared yet, only a few torches were lit and therefore looked like lonely stars in the night sky. Like he expected the king saw more than a few dragon ornaments, after all he is visiting the Kingdom of the Red Dragon. A few children that saw the ship approach, pointed their fingers at it and turned towards their parents to get an answer of some sort but the parents simply grabbed their hands and pulled them away. "My liege if you don't mind me asking, how much sleep do you normally get? You barely left that old chair through the whole trip. The only time I saw you move was to get something to eat or to go piss." The deckhand asked as the airship started approaching the port of the city. Nathaniel simply laughed and said "Why don't you try being king for a month and see how tired you get! It's a great job and I wouldn't trade it for the world but boy does it make me exhausted! To answer your question I don't really... The only times I ever sleep are on trips like these and when I can't keep my eyes open and basically faint at my desk! I haven't even touched my bed for weeks!" "Well no wonder you slept for so long. That can't be good for you!" The deckhand replied. The airship finally stopped in the Cadalirith airship port before the king talked again "No, no it can not." He said and climbed up on the rails before jumping down to solid ground. "Now where is my welcoming party?" He said with a smile on his face.

((Cd_orange, don't you think that greater Oceania is progressing a bit fast? I mean first gyroships with gas which you already have masks protecting you against, then the tanks that are being researched if I remember correctly. Apparently you also now have telegraphs and submarines! Also I might be wrong but it seemed like your troops already have real actual rifles, that can fire several bullets before reloading, from the get-go! Now it's Deth that decides but personally I think that is just too much this early on. Does Greater Oceania even have a weakness? Anyway sorry for the long OOC, I would accompany it with some actual RP but I'm still waiting for Deth to respond))

Gah, I give up trying to apply.

Pjust apply as Kobolds. They're pretty cool!

She hasn't been accepted yet, technically. So she's given up.
    ~Macy

Hey Macy please ask her to try again. I had to try atleast 5-7 times before finally getting into my first RP and look at me now I'm an adequate RP:er by now! She has got a lot of potential (probably more than I had) but she needs the experience that comes through these first few apps and posts. So please, if she's still interested and if you see this post, get her to try again and fix some of the parts that Deth complained about. If she does this I believe that she can be a capable RP:er.

The Royal Airship Harbour, Blue Rock City (Late Morning)
"Greetings my majesty! If I may ask... Why did you call me here?" Olaf Hylden the Chief of Engineering said as Nathaniel approached. "Greetings mister Hylden. It's great to see you safe and sound. Anyway walk with me and I will tell you" He said and started moving towards his airship. "How is the Ölkar project moving along? Any complications?" Nathaniel said after Olaf ran up alongside of him. "No sir, everything is going splendid. We're still looking at starting to distribute them in autumn but if we're lucky we might be able to start as soon as late summer. Does this please you my majesty?" "It will do. I realize that you're working to the best of your abilities, however I would have prefered to have armed our troops much sooner." Nathaniel replied and scratched his head. "You seem troubled by something my liege. You didn't just want to see me to talk about our progress, did you?" Olaf said with a worried look on his face. "No you're right... I just recieved this..." Nathaniel gave the man the letter he recieved just a little while ago. They arrived at the airship before he finished reading so Nathaniel simply stood there as he waited for a responce. "I-I-I can't believe it! Gas! That's so terrible! Why would they create something like this?!" Olaf suddenly shouted and Nathaniel had to put his hand over Olaf's mouth to muffle his screams. "Keep quiet! We don't know who could be listening! Anyway... I thought the same which is why I ask you and your team to attempt to make such masks that were mentioned in the letter in order to protect our troops and also if it comes to it, the civilians. I have asked our agent to attempt to get a sample so you can reverse-engineer it but if they're unsuccessful you will have to create one from scratch. Is this understood?" "Yes I understand my liege! This is a very important mission and me and my men will not disappoint you!" Olaf said before bowing. "Also if I may ask, where are you going?" He said when he stood up straight again, his left eyebrow being raised so high that it almost touched the little hair he had left at the top of his head. "I'm going to the Kingdom of the Red Dragon to barter for a military alliance, why?" Olaf simply stared at his king. "The Kingdom of the Red Dragon?! I don't doubt that they are good people but shouldn't you send somebody else to take care of things like that?! Seven hells... Do they even know you're on your way?!" "Well... No... Not yet... I had a message be sent there asking them for permission to visit but I didn't want to wait for an answer so I had the captain prepare the airship a bit early..." Nathaniel answered before giving Olaf a sheepish smile. The Chief of Engineering had never heard anything like that his whole dwarven life of 137 years and no less from a king? He just didn't know how to respond and simply stood there with his jaw basically touching the floor. "I'll have plenty of time to turn back if he sends back a no! Anyway I have to go now! Let me know about your progress when I come back!" The king said before jumping onto the airship and telling the captain to leave harbour as soon as humanly possible, mostly so he wouldn't have to rationalize anymore around his trip. As soon as they were out of the harbour Nathaniel sat down in an old wooden chair and went to sleep.

Nathaniel's Office, The Royal Palace, Blue Rock City (Morning)
"And one, two, three, four. And one, two, three, fou- No you're doing it wrong! You're supposed to take a step backwards at four!" Nathaniel's dance instructor said before she started counting again. "One, two, three, four. And one, two, three, fou- You did it again! You need to take a step backwards or both you and your partner will trip!" "Remind me again why I do this..." Nathaniel said and let out a sigh. "Because it's important to look good if you are ever to find a queen and have children that one day will inherit your throne! You can't court a woman by stepping on her feet you know?" The instructor said and looked him in the eyes. "Don't you want to find a nice woman and fall in love?" "I don't have time for stuff like that... I've got a nation to run! Besides we both know that it will end up with me having to marry some nobles daughter to seal an alliance or something so why even bother?" He heard a loud knocking on the door and jumped at the chance. "Anyway that sounds like business so we'll continue this next week" Nathaniel grabbed his suit which he had put aside during the lesson and put it on while the instructor left. He then yelled for the person outside to come in and sat down in a soft armchair that had the Seldorian flag embroided with silver on the sides of it. The armchair itself was blue with a frame of ebenholtz. The man who had knocked was a simple messenger. A young lad who Nathaniel befriended early on to ensure maximum loyalty. His uniform was ragged and he was breathing very heavily so Nathaniel guessed the message must have been very important. "A message from one of your agents in Greater Oceania!" He said and handed Nathaniel an envelope he had tucked inside his jacket. The young boy then let out a strong cough before continuing. "The captain of your personal airship also wishes to inform you that it is ready to leave port. He said that the 'package' is in the cargohold and that it should only extend the trip by about three hours." Nathaniel opened the envelope and read the letter inside. When he read about the gas he got a worried look on his face. "Tell the captain that we will have to delay departure a little. I've got to talk to the chief of engineering about some pressing matters before we leave." "Yes my majesty!" The messenger answered and left the room.

    Leader.
    Name: Nathaniel Seldor II
Appearance: Nathaniel is a pretty young king at only 26 years of age but he aims to be taken seriously and because of this he often wears a gold embroided suit, a tie and of course his crown as is mandatory for a king of Seldora.
    Age: 26
    Race: Human
Personality: Nathaniel always tries his best not to be looked on as childish in order to earn respect for his nation but from time to time his childish nature shines through. He can sometimes be quite narcissistic and believes himself to be among the greatest humanity has to offer, he tries not to show this however as he knows it isn't a widely accepted trait.
    Backstory:
    Click to reveal
The story of Nathaniel Seldor isn't the great heroic story one might expect. Nathaniel the Second was the first born child of Gorthus Seldor the Fourth, Gorthus in turn was the first born child of Nathaniel the First who was the founder and first king of the Kingdom of Seldora. Because of this lineage Nathaniel the Second was trained from birth to be the new king of Seldora after his father Gorthus. He undertook military studies and learnt how to handle himself in a diplomatic situation. He was however never meant to inherit his father's throne until the age of 30, so when his father suddenly died of some illness he must have gotten on one of his many expeditions to the islands surrounding Seldora, it left the 24 years old Nathaniel with the crown before he was deemed mature enough to carry it's weight. Nathaniel however surprised everybody by making a public speech where he gave control over infrastructual matters to a democratically chosen parlament on the condition that he and all kings and queens of Seldora after him will be granted a seat on it. The people accepted and from that day onwards the Kingdom of Seldora was a parlamentaristic monarchy.

    Nation.
    Name: The Kingdom of Seldora
    Location:
    Government: Parlametaristic Monarchy
Impression: It is viewed a militaristic state and is feared by it's neighbours, however some bigger nations also start to recognise the possible threat of Seldora and may act to either secure alliances or simply attack before they grow to strong.
Foreign Policy: The Kingdom of Seldora aims to reunite all crown loyalists under one banner so that the great empire that once were a dominating force in these lands can rise to power once more.
Formation: The Kingdom of Seldora was formed by Nathaniel Seldor the First of his name in the year 1246. The Seldor family were the vassals of the great Emperor before the collapse and therefore had the lands and the troops necessary to claim their own chunk of their beloved Emperor's old lands before the filthy rebels could do the same. Afterwards Nathaniel the First made his old castle Blue Rock Castle (Later renamed Blue Rock City) into the new nation's capital. The Seldorian military soon became a force to fear for it's neighbours as their elite troops the berserkers claimed town after town for the crown. They even captured some dwarven territory which provided them with the silvermines their treasury needed after the long wars.
Economy: The Kingdom of Seldora makes most of it's money from the old dwarven silvermines they captured. The parlament is however doing it's best to industrialize the nation more since the mines are getting close to drying out.
Military: The Seldorian army mainly consists of musket armed militia but they are often protected by the elite berserkers. These berserkers are given the heaviest weaponry and the heaviest armours. The berserkers are powerhouses and go through heavy training every day for atleast 2 years before being allowed to go into service, anybody that can't take it is given a musket and sent to the front. Because of the intensity of a berserker's training, only about 200 are trained every year. The ones that make it through are worth it though and the ones that don't are just better militia because of it. Besides their berserkers the Seldorians also have a high science budget aimed at developing new weapons. Two prototypes are the MK1 Ölkar Carbines, capable of shooting several bullets before reloading which are hoped to used at the frontlines at the end of autumn, and the MK1 Mjölnire Landships who even though they aren't fully tested yet show promise and can start being deployed at small scale in the near future. The Mjölnires are planned to be deployed at a much larger scale in about 2 or 3 years depending on the resources available.

"Well if you insist that it won't be a problem for you... Sure." Alexander said. "It's probably quicker too if you show me." He put the bucket and the mop down and yawned loudly. "Well I'm getting tired, we should go quickly so I can get some work done before the lazy part of me kicks in." He laughed a little at his own joke even though he himself didn't find it overly funny. "Well shall we go then my lady?" In an overdone 'gentleman's accent' clearly relaying it as a cheap joke. A clear sign of him getting very tired and unfocused.

Alexander didn't even think for a second that it was something weird with Dio having gone to the cargo and instead just looked at her cane. "Don't you have problems walking?" He said and looked her in the eyes. Now with a more serious look on his face. "If you do, you shouldn't bother getting it for me. I would be fine with just some directions." He looked away towards were he were before. "You can get down there over there, right?" He said and looked back at her. "I wouldn't want to be a cause of bother for you." He said this time smiling.

"Name's Alexander Elahart or simply Alex if you prefer." Alexander said and checked the bucket for cracks. "Well if you ever feel nauseos or something and the doctor isn't in, you can always ask me. I don't know much but my knowledge should be enough for most normal ailments. Also you don't have to worry about the water. I'm sure I'll find some somewhere." Alexander looked at the water spilled on the floor. "You don't happen to know a place were I can get water unnoticed do you?" He smiled at her once more.

Alexander just smiled to the girl. "It's fine" he said and took the bucket out of her hands. "I'll have to get some new water though... I don't know if we have enough to spare..." He looked at her. He thought that she was quite beautiful but at the same time very young. Something like the ideal little sister. "Ah and don't worry. If they happen to get angry about the wasted water, I won't tell them about you. After all it was an accident." He looked at the fresh gauze on her face and continued. "Also are you alright? Have you had a doctor look at that?" He pointed at the gauze. "I don't know much about the damage underneath but whatever it is you should pay close attention to it so it hasn't been infected or something."

Alexander stood up and once again started looking for work. He saw the captain emerge from the lower deck and was just about to ask him for help in finding a job on the ship. However he decided against it since the captain looked pre-occupied. Instead Alexander simply walked past him and started looking for one of the crew members. After a while Alexander saw a man cleaning the deck all alone and decided to go over to him. When Alexander told the man that he was looking for work the man simply gave Alexander his mop and a bucket with a bit of water in it and walked away in search of some shade. Alexander looked at the stuff he just recieved for a second before starting to clean the floor.

Alexander walked around on the deck. The man he had spoken to had given him the task to "find and remove them darned air barnacles, kid!" It was no doubt a joke but Alexander decided to atleast look and check if there actually were any barnacles on the ship side, just in case the man actually was telling the truth and not just sending him on a wild goose chase. He sat on the boats railing and looked down. He saw nothing even resembling a barnacle but a small insect was sitting on the side of the airship. He gave it a quick jab with the stick the man had given him and then he jumped back down to the deck floor. "I guess he tricked me after all..." Alexander said and sighed loudly. He then sat down on the floor and watched a seagull, fully unknowing about the commotion below deck. After a while the seagull flew away to the far side of the boat and Alexander decided to stop watching it. This time fully unknowing that the bird was returning to it's nest to attempt to eat it's dinner. A peculiar barnacle shaped thing.

As the captain finished his speech Alexander couldn't help but feel like he didn't belong. These people had their own seats at the ship while he was just a person that managed to get on in the last possible second. He felt that, even though the ship had already been filled with people when he climbed up, the "over capacity" comment was somehow meant for him and he felt ashamed. He looked down at the floor and was captured in thought. However before they could start yelling at him Alexander decided to make up for the food he eats with hard work and walked over to the closest crew member to report for duty.
