Candlevera has the right idea, I think Minecraft is becoming more popular but also losing popularity among the older/more mature crowd due to the flooding of kids. Sadly it was the mature Minecrafters who were active in the community. Maybe if the site got advertised or even partnered with mojang (if possible) the crowds will come pouring in. The higher the popularity, means more entries, more quality content (as well as more low quality content), easier for new PMC members to get known.
