I just want to state that having photography as a hobby is kind of a big money pit aswell.

Let's say you buy that d5100 (500-600€?) ofcourse, after a year, you want a better lens (=+500€). After a while you notice that everything would go smoother with a tripod (+400€). But ofcourse, you get invited to parties sometimes so you would like to take some decent pictures over there, so you search a decent flash (+200-400€). But we are a couple of years further and well, that d5100 just doesn't fit anymore, you have outgrown it in every way possible so you buy a new body (+600-1200€). Now you notice that that little detail you want to capture just doesn't show up big enough on you picture, so you buy a tele or a macro (600-1000-2000-...€)

And yes, I say this with my own experience in the back of my head being a hobbiest photographer myself.

Oh, and by the way. Earning cash with photo's is getting harder as we speak. You have to reach an outstanding level to really make a living out of it.

This is about as basic as you can get with redstone traps. So many cool things to do. My survival Multiplayer house had 6 dispensers behind a painting (dispenser fired potions, not arrows). It also had a falling trap to bedrock, a hidden entrance, a password secured room (killzone if they entered wrong combination), ... And I consider myself only mediocre in the art of redstone

Most of the time, when they add something that has to do with graphics you can turn them down (menu options)

First, why would a kid need 1000 dollars?
When I was 12 I dreamed about the next comic book.
Even today (20) I barely need that money. Allright, once in a while, when I buy something new for my camera I need that much but come on.
12 years old and in need for 1000$ (professor Farnsworth was correct when he stated "I don't wanna live on this planet anymore")

Oh and that company idea. I really doubt you could a solid living out of that since your product focusses on such a small part of the market you would have to have a real solid product with almost no flaws and every gamer in the world would want to have it. Otherwise I don't see how you could build a company on such a product.
Most company's start with a product that is interesting for a lot of people and than start exploring the different branches of the market. But you'll learn that in school in a year or 4-5

Try whitelist servers, communities there are more mature most of the times

    well this is simple;

build a bottleneck (so one at a time)

-enchanted bow ==> one shot kills
-Infinity I (and a dozen of those bows)

    Creeper apocalypse defeated!

It is about a mod-idea that has been playing in my head for a while now. I know there are a lot of mods that offer automation, but really, pumping stuff out with an engine connected directly to the pipe doesn't really seem that realistic.

Before I proceed I must say I don't know a single line of code. The most advanced thing I have done is code my ComputerCraft stuff.

So, my idea is to create a Minecraft version of the real life hydraulics and pneumatics.
    I was thinking at:

    pneumatic tubes:
you have to build up air pressure before the items move (+ air locks)

    pneumatic pistons:
only usable for moving a maximum of 2 blocks
    - single and double action pistons

    hydraulic pistons:
usable for moving 2-15 blocks (higher pressures)
    -single and double action

    ....

Basicly, my idea is to add this entire website ( http://www.pneumatics.be/ ). (I'm sorry that it is in Dutch but I can't really find an English alternative)

I think it would be really cool to add compressors, tubing, pistons, controls, gates, ... in a real pneumatic and hydraulic way.

In the abovementioned discussion, nobody says that all 12-year olds are annoying. But it is the fact that there is a distinct difference between a server with mostly older people and a server where the average age is 12. You just notice it the moment you log in.
But I can see how you fail to see that point since you are part of the mentioned category.

And to all those who wonder if they are too old for MineCraft. I think it has been mentioned quite some times allready but you are never too old to have some fun. Allthough I would find it a bit creepy if my 93-year old granny would buy a laptop to play MineCraft

oh, this is simple, you are you. People that don't accept that are idiots.
Don't let yourself be pushed in to one of those mainstream thingies. Be who you are. It might sound very cliché, but it is the fact. In the end you will find people who like you for who you are and not for who you pretend to be

I am not that good with servers as well but for that multiple world thing you need a bukkit plugin I think.

Allright, this is evolving into another mac vs windows vs linux. Let's straighten this up a bit:

    * Mac is used by:

-people that have to much money
    OR
-people that do video or photo editing (Mac is still the best to run photoshop, after effects or any of that stuff)

-people that know shit of computers
-people that want a simple to use system

    *Windows:

    - people that know shit of computers
-gamers (it still has more games than mac)
-people that want a simple to use system
-people who don't want to pay double the price for the same stuff

    *Linux:
-People that want a lot of options
    -it is free and open-source
    -great for programmers
-can be completely customised but requires a bigger knowledge of programming and stuff.
