Here are my reason why ps4 is better.
Please note i am not a fanboy i have owned both the ps3 and xbox 360
My first reason: Xbox one has a lot of controversy of spying on its user. It may say that it doesn't spy on you, but they could if they wanted to considering that its always on and can track who you are, and in my opinion i don't want to have a chance of Microsoft seeing me in my undies.
My Second Reason: The PS4's graphics are better since it runs 1080p while Xbox one is stuck in the past running at 720p which is highly disappointing since all these new higher end TVs are coming out with 4k resolution which in a few years will dominate the TV market. Here is a side by side comparison with Call Of Duty Ghost a game that looks terrible on everything -

My Third Reason: The Xbox one comes with a 500gb hard drive that Microsoft thinks you should stick with and never change, but with more and more games sizes getting bigger 500gb isn't that much. Call Of Duty Ghost weighs in at over 40gb and graphics aren't that entirely impressive. The PS4 was meant to switch out hard-drives just like the PS3 .
My Fourth Reason: The PS4 will be having some amazing exclusives such as Killzone Shadow Fall, Infamous, Drive club,The Order 1886, and more from companys such as Naughty Dog the creators of Last Of Us and Uncharted both highly praised PS3 exclusives.
My Fifth Reason: You have to pay to use apps on Xbox such as Netflix and Hulu while on the ps4 you don't have to, but if you want to play online in games you must pay, but in reward for paying you get award winning games for free just like Xbox.
My Sixth And Final Reason: You can use your vita as a second way of playing if lets say your parents want to watch TV, also you can use your mobile device as a keyboard, or second screen which the vita can also do.
