Really? It did? the way minecraft works is when you download the software in comes without the app data, the icon is designed to when it opens detect .minecraft and if it can not find it, it will download the app data, thus resetting minecraft... how does that ruin your launcher
Can't tell from the picture but there's an incompatibility. Try removing optifine and if that doesn't work install them onto real minecraft one at a time (with core jars in first) and when it crashes take out the mod you put in before and try to play with out it.
