Candlebor It's easy to make a Sci-Fi OC, but the theme seems extremely... Open, to me. I personally think skin contests should challenge creativity, and sci fi just seems as if it's too open a topic for it to get many creative entries.

That being said, I still think we'd get plenty of good ones. I personally think Emotions would render some rather interesting skins, and the simple smiley-faces would just get DQ'ed, but that's just me.


Exactly my thought! I believe, that sci-fi would be about making your skin superior compared to the extreme number of participants, where emotions would require you to be really creative to even participate.
Emotion contest would be really cool

Well, that sounds pretty cool, actually
Mine isn't as unique as yours but still quite funny:

So, I was mining with a pickaxe with fortune III, I think, and I was speaking with some friends on Skype, playing on the same server. They were mining too, and one of them had mined for hours, literally finding nothing. And during half an hour or so, I had mined a whole stack of diamonds because of the fortune, while I heard my friend getting more and more annoyed at me, for getting 15 diamonds from every batch of ores. After that half an hour, I decided, that the diamonds would probably cover a few days work XD

It would be really cool, if Mojang could make it possible for half slabs to be "placed on a wall", so instead of only looking like they're cut horizontally, they could also look like they're cut vertically

Well, I sorta always knew it was there, and I know, that a friend of mine use the site frequently, so I just recently decided to take a look at, what it actually is. So, I made this account yesterday, and I'm looking forward to become part of the forums ^^
