Why me?|
I really have no idea how to answer this type of question. I just like to help other people as best as I can, when I can. Unlike most "Pubescent Little Kids" that Minecraft is full of, I'm not someone who thinks they're better then everyone else and needs power so every server I join I beg for Staff. I try to be a respectable person people can look up to when in need or someone's being a nuisance. Age DOES NOT define Maturity. That's the one thing that people seem to always get wrong, thinking that if someone is young, they don't have a clue of common sense, that they'll just make problem after problem. In most cases it's true.
Past Experience|
Hardly any for Minecraft, a couple servers that were owned by kids being bombarded by griefers that I chipped in to help stop them from ruining "someone who doesn't know any better" day. I administrated a Garry's Mod sandbox server for a couple years before it shut down, and it's a lot easier to Administrate then Minecraft. Also a Moderator on my friends Discord Channel, to stop Spam.
What would you do?|
Hacker: Check it's not a false alarm by using /v and spectating them. See what they're doing. if obvious hacked client, Warn them, tell them to switch to Vanilla and kick them. If they come back and are still using a Client, Perma-ban.
Spammer: Caution them and temp mute them for 10 minutes. IF advertising a server, Perma-ban. if the accused spams after mute is up, Temp mute them for an hour. IF continues, Perma Mute.
Scammer: Caution the accused, /invsee their inventory and/or property. return to original owner. If they scam again, perma ban.
Toxic Player: Caution, Temp mute. Tell them to use some manners and treat other players with respect, and make them feel guilty by turning the tables with "how would you feel". If carry's on being toxic, Temp mute for longer (or Temp ban on behaviour). IF rejoins after and carry's on, Perma Mute or Ban depending on Behaviour.
Anything else?|
Kicking people is useless, they don't reflect on what they're doing and usually rejoin to carry on whatever they were doing, maybe even worse because they were kicked that's why none of my answers above contain kicking.
