'Oh, but they owned *insert game here'. Theres not really any link there. They could have seen shooting anywhere, and been inspired to commit something like that.
I agree with you, however there is evidence on both sides of the fields. We know they don't cause them, just as guns don't cause deaths, but they can be a contributing factor. That would be an interesting thread, actually.
