How about a very rare type of plains biome where the grass and foliage look sort of purple and underneath the purple grass, the caves are filled with water and emeralds are as common as iron. It could be called the 'Emerald' biome. I don't think they would bother actually putting it in vanilla minecraft, maybe someone could include it in the 'more biomes' mod?
