Help/JavaEdition about Textures and lighting?

darkruptI am trying to figure out if i can make another block Light up like Glowstone, in a texture pack i am making. Like how redstone lights up when pressure is applied. or something along those lines. I wanted to make Lapis ore light up.
Is this even possible?

Unfortunately, it isn't possible with a texture pack.

To make a block glow, you would have to make a mod to edit Minecraft's code.



So id have to get into java then ;\
