My name: My first name is Darien. I will leave my last name undisclosed for the time being.
In game name: CanadianTheCat
My age: I am currently fifteen years of age.
How active am I? I am on Minecraft for at least two hours a day. I am on about five or six hours on the weekdays.
My current location and time zone: I currently reside in Canada, my time zone is Mountain Time.
Skype: My Skype username is Darien.schroeder (Canada)
How do I handle rule breakers? This is a very vague question but I will answer to the best of my ability.
Hackers: Hacking for me is an immediate ban. If I caught an alt on it would be an IP ban.
Spammers/Inappropriate language/sexism/racism etc.: Would be a warn first. If they continued it would be a one day mute. If I see that they had done it before or multiple times before I would extend the mute period based off of how many times they had been muted before. Eventually leading to a permanent mute.
If, someone was going around upsetting everyone I would ask for everyone's perspective on what happened and the punishment and amount of time would depend on how upset the other people are.
In any of these situations, I would require evidence if someone told me about them.
Experience: I have been staffing servers for two and a half years. In every position, Owner, Co-Owner, Staff Manager, Admin, Moderator, and Helper. I have focused more on the staff and player management side of the server. And a bit with building. I have learned much and dealing with players and staff members. I am currently also staff on HHGN: (Yes, I will still be able to offer lots of time on this server.) Proof I am staff:
http://www.happy-hg.com/forum/members/?type=staff Furthermore, I have seen how players react to tons of situations and know what works best. I have also seen common reasons why servers fail and I strive to fix them. My experience in each position:
Owner: This is the most important position. People rely on you to fix problems and make decisions. It's important to pick people that you think will work well together or else the staff team will tear each other apart. It's also good to know coding to code your own plugins.
Staff Manager/Head-Admin: Since the Owner is generally busy with more important things it's important to watch over the staff members. To make sure they work well together and to resolve any conflicts in them.
Admin: You are generally supposed to be on the server and looking over the younger staff. But also supposed to answer players questions and deal with rule breakers.
Mod: At the front lines dealing with rule breakers, answering people's questions, and knowing the community.
Helper: Supposed to answer everyone's questions and know the players and the community. Depending on the server also dealing with rule breakers.
Pros and Cons:
Pros:
I relate very well to staff members and players.
I know how to deal with conflict very well.
I am wise and know the appropriate response in almost every situation.
I am very hard working.
I always try to get to know the community and the players and try to get to know them.
I don't ignore any players even if I dislike them or they message me often.
Cons:
People say I can be overly serious.
Sometimes I can get prideful.
If I strongly disagree with something I'll usually fight against it.
My Bio: I know very well how to deal with conflict. I can stand my ground. I am a pretty decent builder. I know most every common plugin (Essentials, Group Manager, World Guard, World Edit, Clear Lag, and many others). I know how to use Console and edit plugins a bit. I know how to handle staff and players well. I think about my decisions before I make them. I relate to people very well and don't ignore players.
