What position are you applying for?: I am applying for Admin (or any other rank if you feel that this application suits such a rank better)

    Age: 17

Where are you from?: Aberdeen, Scotland

What languages can you speak?: English, as well as any other language with the help of Google Translate on a different screen.

    IGN: SifTheAI
    Discord: SifTheAI#8098

Tell us something about yourself: My name is James, I am a gamer and the current Events Moderator of an Arma 3 Semi-Milsim community named Zeus Operations with many members. I live in Aberdeen, in Scotland, and have an interest in gaming as well as in computing and Play-By-Post roleplay. Within Minecraft, I’m trying to develop my building skills and I very much like redstone.

Why do want to be staff on this server?: I want to be staff because I like watching a server develop and grow. The style of this server appeals to me and so I wish to be staff on it in order to help it.

Do you have any past experience?: At present, I am the Events Moderator of an Arma 3 community. In past, I have been the Co-Owner/Owner of a few servers and have also had my experiences of almost every staff rank from Helper to Staff Manager.

How long can you be on every week?: I am usually active throughout the day every day on Discord, through either my phone or my computer, and I can be on Minecraft actively due to a lack of nothing better to do.

What can you do that others can’t?: I am a good communicator and am reliable and dependable. I can assist players as well as other members of the staff team with problems and provide good solutions or work-arounds to them. I am also able to record, and in doing so can provide evidence for any cases of rule breaking.

What position would you like?: Administrator (or moderator)

Why do you want to become a staff member?: I wish to become a member of staff because I don't like seeing great communities that are invested in deeply start to disappear. One of the key factors of having a healthy server or community is having people in place to support the community and help those in need of it.

What can you bring to the staff team?: As a general player, I can provide help to those in need of it and give the community a good name by being one of those that keep the server happy and friendly. As a staff member, I can do this more efficiently. Players often look up to staff members, and if they see that they are being friendly and helpful, they will, too. Additionally, I can support the server in the way of ridding it of those breaking rules, or generally being a nuisance to other players. There is many other ways I can support the server, and one of them is generally just by being there.

Any previous experience?: I have been a moderator on two other servers as well as an administrator and head administrator on another two. At one point I was the co-Owner of a server. Currently, I am a specialized moderator of a Teamspeak 3 server and Arma 3 community, with trusted access to the console of the game and Teamspeak servers.

Any suggestions for us?: My extreme suggestion is to focus on bringing players in. A lot of communities focus on the art work and touches to the server, which includes picking out staff for the server, however in practice, without players there is not a server. Everything else comes second. You can pick staff from the players, and suggestions from the server, and without players your server does not gain a reputation, as there is nobody there to comment on it.

Do you agree that while you are a staff member of Cronus Gaming you will act with the up-most professionalism?: I submit a textual contract that while I am an acting staff member of Cronus Gaming I will act with the up-most professionalism. This textual contract redacts if I so choose to leave Cronus Gaming or are forced to leave by any means, and is limited to Cronus Gaming areas.

    (1.) Your IGN: Datadogie
    (2.) Age: 15 (16 on the 28th December)

(3.) Staff positions atm & past:

-One time as administrator in past
-Two times as moderator in past
-One time as head administrator in past
-One time as Co-Owner in past

-Was accepted for administrator on a server that did not start once
-Was accepted for moderator on a server that did not start once

-Currently Moderator on Non-Minecraft community and teamspeak

    (4.) Experience as staff:
Through working on numerous servers, I have discovered that many servers have different rules, different people, and different styles of both gameplay and regulations for punishments, etc. Throughout my time, I have muted a fair few people, banned few (which is a good thing, I guess), as well as carried out judgements during 'trials'. I also adapt and learn new commands and plugins, depending on what the owner of the server has installed.

(5.) Your thoughts of the tasks that a Admin has:

An administrator deals with the larger issues of a server, however the moderators are the ones that do the light lifting. Administrators have access to greater punishments and authority than moderators. This also means that an Admin has to make sure that Moderators (as well as other staff members) do not abuse their own privilages, and report such wrongdoings to those of higher authority (Head administrator, (Co)Owners, etc.) to be sorted. Administrators often are responsible of dealing with donator issues, as they are of higher sensibility than normal members. Of course, this changes per server. Administrators also can do everything a moderator does (including helping new players, etc.).

If the server has a forum, the administrator also has the responsibility of moderating the more sensitive areas of the forum, as well as being supervisor for those of lower ranks. An admin also has the responsibility of banning people from certain subforums, etc.

If the server has a teamspeak, administrators have the authority to create new temporary (or permanent) channels. They should also have the authority to enter any channel, as well as move/mute/kick players, perhaps even ban.

(6.) Are you willing to help the server with any of the above goals? So yes how?:
I can help the server with staff goals if I myself become a staff member, as that increases the count of staff on the server. I can also help with testing commands by, well, testing commands. The server website I can help with by frequently checking on it, and moderating the forums. I also can help players on the server.

(7.) Some basic commands for Admin:
Here, I am going to list commands for Admin which moderators probably wouldn't have, as to not list obvious commands like 'TP' or 'Kick'.

    - /Ban
    - /Tempban
    - /invsee (allows you to see into other people's inventories and add/remove things)
    - /Vanish (/v)
    - Worldedit commands (//wand, //set (insert things here), etc.)
    - /nick (for setting donator's nicknames if they want them changed, etc.)
    - /warp
    etc.

(8.) Amount of time you may play on the server:
I can play on the server whenever I am free, and can range from perhaps 2-6 hours a day, depending on my schedule. I often have a lot of free time, so this can be spent on the server. I often have events on weekends, but these only last around 2 hours at night time, so I am free the rest of the time. If I obtain this position, a lot of my time will be dedicated to this.

(9.) How do you handle with fights between people?:
Fights between people can be handled multiple ways.
    - If there is one clear aggressor, then he is muted, and I obtain the stories from both sides, before making my judgement, depending on the reason, etc. of the falling out.
    - If both sides are repeatedly attacking each other, both sides are muted and both sides still give me their sides of the story, however depending on the severity of the argument both sides may be punished (the prior aggressor harsher than the second). This of course can be changed by evidence gathered.
    - If one side of the argument is using racist or inappropriate remarks, this person is muted immediately, both sides give me their story, and I make my judgement, however the person using the racist/inappropriate remarks also suffers a period of being muted, or some other punishment.

(10.) How will you handle when someone is breaking the rules?:
If someone is breaking the rules, I will punish them depending on the severity of the rule breaking. If a higher authority has told me specifically how to deal with punishments, I'll abide by what they say. I will also keep an eye on the person and ensure that they do not continue breaking the rules.

(11.) Are you able to find hackers/cheaters?
Yes, hackers or cheaters often act in a specific way, as well as have an abundance of ores or specific high-value resources. They also have certain ways they mine, etc.

(12.) What for punishments will you give by: Hacking, Cheating, Breaking rules?:
    Hacking:
For hacking, I will ban, as hacking can affect players greatly, and not just the hacker himself. A hacker many also have the knowledge to exploit the server, which poses a threat to everyone's work.

    Cheating:
Depending on the type of cheating, I may temporarily ban a player, or do some other type of similar restricting punishment. Depending on the severity, it could possibly also be a ban.

    Breaking rules:
See above. If you have not seen above, here it is again:
If someone is breaking the rules, I will punish them depending on the severity of the rule breaking. If a higher authority has told me specifically how to deal with punishments, I'll abide by what they say. I will also keep an eye on the person and ensure that they do not continue breaking the rules.

(13.) Can you look at: Applications, do multiple tasks if so how?:
I can look at applications and accept/deny them. I am a role player and have Co-GMed and GMed on other sites several times, so I can look over applications well. I can multitask, as I have two monitors.

(14.) What are you building skills like?:
My building skills are okay, though they can be improved upon. I know basic and basic-advanced redstone, so I can build small machines.

    (15.) Any plugins experience?:
I am experienced with several plugins, including factions, essentials, PEX (PermissionsEx), as well as some other plugins.

(16.) Skype: activehaloman (do not ask, I made it when I was much younger)

(17.) What do you know about factions?:
Factions are groups that work toward a common goal. They have leaders as well as sub-leaders, and members that have various roles according to what the leaders wish them to do. Factions can also claim territories, etc.

(18.) Staff abuse, what will you do?:
    If staff abuse their rights, I will immediately message an available higher-authority member in order to sort it out. If no higher-authority is immediately available and the staff is abusing his rights during that time, I would;
    a) If I am a higher rank than him, temporarily ban him/her until a higher-authority member is online.
    b) If I am the same rank or he/she is a higher rank, than me I will inform all other online staff members to subtly monitor the abuser's actions, and write down every wrongdoing he/she does. Once a higher-authority staff member is online, I will inform him/her of the abuser, as well as refer him to those who wrote down the actions of the member as evidence.
    c) If I have access to PEX (if it is on the server), I will put the player's rank to a member so he cannot use any staff commands.

(19.) Anything extra you wanna let me know?:
Well, I want to let you know I have read the whole of the first post. I'm going to let you know this by writing ~Zhongguo Ren~.

Why you want it: The rank that I want to have on the server would be Admin, and I want this rank because I feel that it is a highly respected and liked rank. The rank is respected because Admins are the staff members that put in a lot of work organizing the server from in game, just like the mods, but with much more authority. I believe that I have proven myself to be a very helpful and supportive individual on servers, and would like this rank because I feel a lot of servers need good staff in order to keep out people who spoil the server.

Tell me a little about yourself: I am Aberdonian, which means that I am from Aberdeen, in north-eastern Scotland in the UK. I am often mistaken from being someone of an older age (often 16 or 17) because of my voice, even though I myself think I have the voice of a 14 year old.

I am a gamer mainly on the Xbox 360, but I have games on the PC as well. I enjoy Role Play, as it is a fun thing to be doing, making up your own fantasy world and basically telling a story. Due to being a Role Player, I am quite a literate person, having good English and Grammar.

I have been in the position of many ranks on servers (not just minecraft servers, but I used to be staff members on other game's servers as well), some ranks being moderator, admin, head-admin and I have even (twice) been a Co-Owner. I have been supportive with plugin additions and in-game moderating, and I am highly respected by many people for that. I have never been banned from a server.

Rank being applied for: Admin, or even a moderator if you do not think I would be up to admin standards.

    Name- James Cutter

Special Features- James has a wolf tail and wolf ears, and he can transform into a wolf.
Side- Neutral, but trusts a bit more Regian than Duegeroi, even though he steals from shops.
Personality- Nice at times, but can easily get upset or easily start crying. He also likes to lay in grass, as it makes him feel natural. James is also quite shy.
Any Family?- He has parents, but he has forgotten who they were ever since he got kicked out. Even so, he hates them.
    Backstory-
    Click to reveal
James' parents abuse James, and they upset him all the time. His parents would get angry at him, and would hate him. They didn't like him, nor his non-human features. They especially didn't like his tail.

One night, when James was eleven, he got told to hoover the carpet in the morning when he woke up, because his parents would be out. Of course, James had to say yes. Unfortunately, he completely forgot, and when his parents got home they were really angry. His mother slapped him, and his tail accidentally knocked over a picture of his parent's wedding day. His mother got furious. She told James' father, and he got mad. They kicked him out of the house, and left him on the street. James walked away from the house, crying.

After a while of walking, James walked into an alleyway. He sat for a while, thinking about what had just happened. James got even more upset by thinking about it, so instead, he thought about wolves. He started thinking about how he was half wolf, and how he had always wished to be able to switch between being a wolf and being, well, him. Just as he thought of that, he felt himself moving. At first, he thought he was being kidnapped, but when he turned around nobody was there. What he did notice is that everything seemed, higher. Turning his head to look around some more, he saw something gray. Something that seemed to have attached it's self to his body. That's when he realized that he had turned into a wolf. Closing his eyes, he thought of turning back into his wolf-boy form, then felt himself move again. Opening his eyes again, he saw he was back to normal. Well, at least his type of normal. He started smiling, then tried changing in and out of his wolf form a few more times. Once he was convinced he could do it without problems, he relaxed for a while. Though there was one small problem.

James felt hungry, but had no idea how he would get food. He was alone, without any money. He then thought about doing something. Something bad. He thought about stealing from a shop. Realizing that it was the only way he could get food, he set off to the nearest shop.

Once at the shop, he got a basket and started putting in some food and drinks. After getting everything, he thought about how he would get out without anyone knowing that he was the one that stole. Checking that nobody was looking, he turned into a wolf and held the basket in his mouth. He ran out of the door and all the way back the to alley as fast as he could. He turned back into his normal form, and checked to see if he was followed. He wasn't, so he started eating.

Two years later, James is thirteen. He still lives in that alley, and often goes out for runs both as his normal form and wolf form (even though he sometimes scares people with his wolf form). He continues to get food by stealing, but he has no friends.

Anything else- I don't think so.

James whimpers in fear and climbs the staircase faster. Looking down, he sees what seems to be something white, and it was making it's way up the staircase. "T-There's a t-thing down there." James shouts up the staircase. "A b-big white thing." He continues his climb up the staircase.

Cold. That was what James felt when he woke up. Not just cold. Freezing. As he opened his eyes and got up from the ground, he looked around and felt terrified. He didn't know where he was, and the only bit of civilization he could see were some lights in the distance. Wiping away a few tears of fear, he started walking towards the lights. James felt like it was getting colder, but nonetheless kept walking, occasionally walking around bits of wreckage that were in his way.

James was born a scavenger. He lived in a very poor family who abused him and were always out working, trying to get money.

One day, when James was nine and he was walking to school, he decided he would not go to school, but go for a walk to a park instead. While at the park, James sees a woman with a shiny, tiny box in her pocket. James walked casually behind her as she walked away, and he slowly stretched out his arm and gently slid the box out of the woman's pocket. He put it in his own pocket, turned, and started walking over to a bench. James sat down on the bench, and took out the box. He opened it, and he found a ring. James chuckled to himself, and then put the ring into his pocket, throwing the box away. He decided he would walk home.

When James arrived home, he took out his key and started to unlock the door. To James' surprise, the door was already unlocked. He opened it, and saw his mother looking extremely angry, looking at him.
"Where were you!?" She asked furiously. "The school called me, and said you weren't there."
"I-I tripped, and I cut my leg." James lied. Unfortunately, his mother was smarter than that.
"Oh, really?" James' mother says calmly. "Let me see your cut or bruise or whatever you got when you fell." She said.
James sighed. "I-I lied. Sorry." James says. His mother got even more angry than she already was, and slapped him. Hard.
"To your room! Now!" She shouts, as James walks to his room, his head down in shame.

In his room, James started to think about how he managed to steal the ring. He had successfully managed to pickpocket someone. "Maybe I can do that again." James says to himself. James slowly slides his window open and climbs out. He runs off, trying to find things to steal.

After four years of pick pocketing, abuse by his parents, and a few odd nights of sleeping on the streets, James walked outside, smiling. He had no school that day, so he could happily roam around. He walked to the park he had stole his first ever item. Once there, he sat down on a bench and he looked around.

After a few hours of just sitting, he spied a victim of which to steal from. James knew what a wallet looked like, and was determined to get it from the old man's pocket. The man was walking through the exit gates of the park, and was about to cross a road. James got up and walked to the man. He started to help the old man cross the street, and while he was doing it, he slipped a hand into the man's pocket. He took hold of the wallet and gently slid it and his hand out, and put the wallet into his own pocket. Once across the street, the man walked away, and James walked the opposite way, taking out the wallet and looking through it for money. He found a small amount of money, and he found something else.

It was a ticket of sorts. A ticket to get on a ship, leaving soon. It would be a while to get to the ship, but James knew it would be worth it. Who knows? There would probably be some rich people on board, so he could probably get some money. That, and he would give anything to be away from his parents for a while. Everything considered, he set off for the ship.

Special Powers: None, unless you consider managing to pick pocket without being seen a power.
Talents: Can pick pocket without being seen.
Equipment: An old man's wallet (which he stole).
    Weapons: None.
