i started a new map and it was amazing because i started in a ice wasteland! it was all ice and snow. i was in the middle of a frozen ocean. but i thought it was odd that the entire area was frozen except one area in the middle of the water.
2 minutes later: i start building a house out of obsidian i used from my inveditor. it was a small house made of about 6x7 obsidian blocks and the floor was made of…ice… i decided i wanted a more protective house so i started digging under water and i dug a few block under the lake floor and put a block above me to seal the water. i took out a torch and i lit the small 2 block tall area so i can start expanding. i expanded the room to quite a big size.
? minutes later: as i was expanding the area i hit a pocket… that was lit by TORCHES!.. i was so confused… i didn't know what to do so i pulled out a diamond sword and i slowly searched the pocket. i never placed the torches there. they were already there… as i was searching i found a long corridor with entrances to ..something (i didn't get close enough to see) as i was walking. something came close to me..almost ran up to me at a strangely fast speed and stared at me. i say stared because all i saw was two white eyes. i practically S**t myself. i turned around and ran back up the ladder and destroyed it i pulled out my sword and i looked down and waited for about…2 minutes for IT to try to follow me..
2 minutes later: i slowly went back to the empty space and i looked down the corridor and found that it was gone… i inspected the place a little more and found more torches. i found an empty chest and a few more torches strangely placed around the chest. the "pocket" (as i have been saying) was less of a pocket and more like a PYRAMID… it was in perfection to a pyramid, minus the long corridors leading out of the pyramid..
i blocked off the entrance to the pyramid/house/pocket and before i left there. i decided what no matter what that thing was, i never wanted to see it again… so i filled about 8 blocks with active lava and ran back and sealed the entrance shut. i sealed my lower base up also and also filled it with lava.
the house still stands in the ice lake alone with me and my 2 new wolves. but never ever ever again will i build an underground base. (7/8/11 2:44pm) P.S. for research and for proof. i have saved the map and data in a file just incase it is ever needed again…. this was dated 7/8/11... this was a real encounter and if anyone wants the map as proof message me
