I'm willing to help you with your initial setup if you'd like and maybe some tech support from time to time. I have no interest in being an owner or being long term. I know you said don't apply if you don't want to commit but I am good at what I do. So incase you change your mind...
Name: Anthony Age: 25 Staff experience: I own a sever Do you know how to work a control panel: Yes Have you ever owned a server: for about a year now How long have you been playing Minecraft: about 1.5 years Availability: Most evenings after 8pm Pacific Time Skype: DeGariless
You might want to ask for people's Availability. Good Luck!
It's also more than $30 for a pi. After you buy the power adapter, SD card, case, HDMI cable, (maybe even a computer monitor) it will end up being well over $100
I second that. That was a little uncalled for. The PMC community wasn't created for competition. It was created for the people that have similar interests to make friends and learn from each other. Not a great way to make friends.
I hate when the ClearLag plugin removes entities every 2 minutes It really sucks when your in a boat. BAM! your boat is gone and you cant craft a new one until you swim to shore. (which is of course nowhere to be found)
I also hate it when people argue with Mods and Admins. even if you think they are abusing their powers, that isn't for you to decide. and no one else cares. Stop spamming the chat. What they say goes. The end.
I use this for my server. It's free and I can even control my computer from my phone. (sometimes I'm too lazy to get out of bed to check on my server in the living room)
you can give access to other people on their own accounts so you don't have to give out your personal information or your personal password.
It's likely that they will not change your IP to static but it worth a try. The reason they have home users on a dynamic IP is to make it harder to host websites, games etc. and for security purposes.
if you want to buy a raspberry pi to play with your friends than go for it! definitely not something you should post on PMC because your server is likely to lag with more than a few people on it. ... And definitely go easy on the plugins. maybe only 3 or 4 plugins if any. Probably better off hosting a server from a laptop or something.
More RAM is always better in my Experience. My server has 16GB of ram and runs super smooth 95% of the time.
If you're looking for someone to help you set up your server I'd be happy to help. I wouldn't plan on playing on your server becauseI have my own server I play on. I would however join to test and make sure things are working properly
[24] [Pacific Time] [Most evenings after 8pm] [None. Just here for setup help] [I own my own server and have managed my own plugins for 6 months ish] [I love helping people. I hope your server is successful. Skype: DeGariless]
I'm looking to get into modding as well. if anyone has any good youtube links or a place to get started I would be very appreciative. I understand variables and if then statements, but that's about it. I have a long way to go.
