My opinion is be happy you got to be a part of their life and you will always be in their memories. When I left Elementary I was bawling, and had tears all over my shirt. I never met my friends again, but I got over it. They will always remember me, I will always remember them. You will meet new friends, but I'm sure you've heard the saying:
'Friends come and go.' That means several different things, take it as you will.
