HA, oh jeez Lego, you probably shouldn't have said that.
I've made loads of friends joining random small servers. I'm so fed up with the "cool" servers these days, with over hundreds of people on at once, it's impossible to make any real friends! If you can find a small server with a minimal amount of plugins, you just might meet a really cool person who would love to cooperate in survival with you!

BTW I'm a boy, 14 (almost 15), and I'm also having a really hard time finding other friends to play with. None of my real life friends even play Minecraft. :'(

Thanks, I'm going to make it now and say I came up with the idea ALL BY MYSELF. loljk. Cool idea though, I too am looking to get into game developing. Only problem is, a game like that would be HUGE to make.

It's nice, but I would not download it because I could build one myself. For your first time, it's pretty good I guess, but when you look at better building teams, like Sunfury or something, this looks pretty small. I'm not that good a builder, but I could give you some tips if you'd like, just message me. (BTW, art is a skill that anyone can learn with enough practice, if you really want to build cooler stuff, look at someone else's log cabin, and see what they did that you didn't, then try to improve your own by memory.)

I've always wanted a cannon as a crafting recipe that only takes up one-two blocks.

I would suggest either Java or C++ languages.
Java is only a little bit slower and doesn't run as well as other languages sometimes, but can still be effective because it has the capability to run on any PC.
C++ is faster and runs better than java, but you're sacrificing that mobility that Java has.
Also, since you're learning how I would go with Java since it's a little bit easier to pick up on.
There is a free Java developing program called Eclipse somewhere, I wouldn't be too sure where to download it though, and there's some good tutorials on youtube also.
