Reason for wanting this position (requires paragraph):
Firstly, write about how you believe the prospects for advancement within the company are fantastic. Every company likes to think they have a good promotion strategy, and reading between the lines they will think you are a determined individual that wants to succeed, will work hard to further their career, and will not job hop within a month or two.
Secondly, relate your skillset to the work you'll be doing - so mention your past experience, why it interests you and why it would be good etc.
Thirdly, find something specific about the company that you like (doing some digging on their website etc.) For instance you could say you believe the company to be responsible and ethical and believe their new 'greener washing machines' shows a true commitment to saving the environment. OR, you could comment on a recent customer case study (often on websites) and give some reasons about why you thought it was good.
The reason for doing this is that businesses will firstly know you've done your homework. Secondly it is a human instinct to appreciate flattery, and when it's delivered correctly and specifically it can help you cause a great deal.
