@vrej and RevolutionalRedStone thanks for the information

The first time I started playing Minecraft and found out about redstone I thought that the redstone torch was just a different color torch. Later on I found out a lot of things can be made with redstone... once I build a functioning calculator I will try some bigger things.

EDIT: if I were to build a computer though I am not sure how well I could make a display because of the blocks and such. If the player stand far away from the *monitor* then it will likely look better. However I am still not sure how the hell I'm going to pull that off. Any way that is a future problem for now I am going to try building a calculator!

^I already know of all of the dyes but I was wondering if there was a mod. of some sort for more color choices to make more detailed creations.

    damn -.-

arceusgI agree. Enchanting, potions, and many, many more things have eliminated one of the greatest aspects of the game. A total noob with a stone sword could kill a person in full diamond armor if the noob was good enough at fighting. Enchantments and potions (mostly enchantments) have ruined that.

You are looking at the potions from a negative aspect... a seasoned player could get a lot more out of the game with potions. I do not like how some potions make the player practically invincible but no one is forcing you to use it. My point: if you are not a noob (I don't care who is or who is not one...) feel free to use potions if you don't like them then don't use them...

I hate to start an argument but... a lot of things have improved in Minecraft.

    *Added items
    *Enchantment has been improved
*If I am correct the Nether was introduced in 1.8
*NPC's have been added (they are dull but it makes the world some what more life like)
    *Biomes
    *various other changes

If you really hate it that much than there are ways to downgrade to whatever version you want.

EDIT: @creeperCarole I agree with you but I have a question. When you go on a server in multiplayer if lag occurs is it the end users fault or the hosts fault?

Frictional Games has made (in total) 4 games and is going to release a new game later this year...

    • Penumbra: Overture
    • Penumbra: Black plague
    • Penumbra: Requiem
    • Amnesia The Dark Descent

They are all good and the company itself is considered indie. I think that good horror games are hard to come by but no I do not think that the genre is dying.

EDIT: games that call themselves horror games and then only use jump scares are not good horror games :p

I love redstone too it is very simple to use but you can make very complex things with it as well.
