The only email notification I'm interested in is comments on my datapacks, it helps with bug reporting, and I don't want to have to check this site daily for it. I also like the idea of subscribing to a thread (either mine or someone else's) to receive emails for that too.
Oh, I see the notification setting now, "Email me about new private messages when I'm not online". Wow, so you can't setup email notifications for anything else, that's inconvenient.
I love what they've done with the new generation (obviously there's some kinks to work out though). The generation reminds me of when I played on Xbox360:
