Ohh I do like terraforming even tho it can be pain and time consuming, there are some tricks ( more like tips), Try to avoid patterns (so no 3 by 3 cave entrances or 2 wide paths for the whole path, etc), avoid creating lots of corners ( smooth those edges out ), Big details ( rocks/boulders, bushes, trees, etc), try mixing up the textures ( this one depends on your texture pack but basically don't use just one texture). Unfortunately Its difficult to go into more depth without knowing what kind of terraforming your doing, but like all creative things you'll get better with practice, so best of luck.
